Patrick Crayton finally gets his wish to be traded.: Dallas received only future considerations, likely a late-round draft pick. The club figured it was better than cutting him and getting nothing, plus it puts him in the other conference.

Longhorn coach Mack Brown believes Vince Young deserves 2005 Heisman. : "I think you have to go back and really give that choice to the Heisman Trust. If they take it away, I think Vince should be awarded the trophy . . . Vince was second in the voting, so even if they re-voted I would like to see Vince get it,"

Cowboys non-existent defense
Say what you would like about the defense, but they did put Romo and Co. in prime position to win their way into the playoffs with 3 minutes to go. I'm not here to argue for Ryan, but I will say that Ryan's defense was absolutely ripped apart by injuries. I'm sure that its hard to do the things you want to as a defensive coordinator with only a handful of your original starters. Not to mention that the starters that were left were a shell of themselves at this point.

Adrian Peterson holds the single game rushing record and nearly reached Dickerson's season record. AD is on pace for a much bigger impact in the record book. I'm not suggesting AD will break the all time rushing record, but here's some numbers for ya.
So far in AD's 6 year career:
1754 Rush attempts 8849 Rush yards AVG 5.0
Emmitt Smith:
2007 Rush attempts 8956 Rush yards AVG 4.4
Barry Sanders:
1763 Rush attempts 8677 Rush yards AVG 4.9

That's interesting. Three Heisman winning quarterbacks played in the same NFL game. So much hardware, so little NFL success.

Is Baylor a powerhouse
Baylor is no power house. But a top 5 offensive team in points per game and yards per game. It's very tough to go undefeated. Ask the other 119 teams. This just proves what we already know about college football. It is a broken system. If Notre Dame loses next week it will probably be another all SEC Natl title game. Then for two years in a row, we won't find out if SEC is the best. Voters have their mouth full of SEC &*#%.

These other pretenders just can't handle it.
So by your logic, losing your first game of the season against a tough conference opponent (at least Stanford is not a bad team) this makes you a pretender? So does that make every single team in the SEC a pretender? I am confused.

This guy won the fight
And it was not close. Go figure.
I'm not sure we need to go straight to a GSP-Anderson Silva fight
I'm not sure we will ever see this fight.

I never really got caught up into the 'my conference is better than yours'. If you're a Kentucky fan and you are bragging that SEC has won the last 6 or 7 Nat'l Titles that's kind of lame. It's like saying I just got kicked in the nuts by Chuck Norris, but it was awesome because it was Chuck. Since my alma is Okla U, this does feel kinda sweet seeing ATM beat the best of the SEC.
One last thought....this is absolutely a different A&M team then the Big XII seen last year. The odd thing is, A&M lost a first round QB and are doing this with a gamer in freshman Johnny Football. Sumlin is a football coach. Oh, and West Virginia.....Welcome to the Big XII
(I've been gone from SPOFI for a while....kind of.....whats up with the link on Chuck Norris?....payin bills?)

I'm sure there are still plenty of borderline delusional SEC fans that are going to be convinced that a 1 loss SEC team deserves a spot in the NC game this year. That is if one of the other three undefeated teams stay undefeated.

Any NFL team could let the Tide start in the redzone on every possession and still win. I guess it's like a winning the lottery fantasy. It's fun to think about. But in all reality, it is not going to happen.

Which of the Lakers can guard Westbrook? Durant? Harden?
Exactly...I think media and fans alike are overreacting to this. You could make an argument that Bynum is the second best center in the league so they are improving at that position. But they are only improving physically. Against OKC in the playoffs, Bynum was shooting around .900 at the free throw line, Howard cannot and will not match that. Both Bynam and Howard are no where strong enough mentally. While Howard is the best low post defender, he is still a liability in offense. Lakers can benefit with the pick n roll with Nash, but Nash AND Kobe are in the twilight of their careers and we are back to a normal regular season. They are still chasing OKC and will be for the years to come.

I suppose my sarcasm radar needs calibration. In all seriousness, lets hope for the sake of competition Harden will be full strength for the playoffs.

Lets let Artest put an elbow in your head and see you flop about.
