Sweet, love the combine... I usually make a few players for madden before the new one comes out, based partly on the combine. Any idea which site posts the results first?

Detroit's in an interesting situation. You'd think they have all they need at the skill positions because of how they drafted...then you realize one of those guys is Joey Harrington. I still really like the wr's, kevin jones is good enough for sure. They should play it smart, keep it simple... O-Line or D-line...trading down a few spots might be best.

My mistake...I wouldn't have suggested the Lions trade down if I knew they were 9th. Man, how did 8 teams "beat" the Lions? I think they must have given it their all.

protection should be number one, well seasoned lineman are a must draft a few big athletic lineman and in free agency aquisitions get two who are available if you create holes for the running back you open up the passing game if the qb doesnt telegraph the play you can have the element of surprise joey likes to telegraph the play look over films and you will see

Always like to read of the hidden gem found at the combine... why read about it, watch it. the NFL network lets you play scout and covers the combine. from the 40's, 225-pound bench press drill, and the agility drills they let you in on it all. just about everything but the one-on-one interviews and the drug tests. I can't wait!!!!! i hope my TiVo has space on it

Why are Lions fans even mentioning running backs? Don't you guys know who your new Offensive Coordinator is? Running backs? Pshaw!

I saw Cutler mentioned in a draft forecast yesterday and had to blink and hit F5 twice to be sure I was really seeing the right thing. This guy is from Vanderbilt, how did he jump into the first round when I've never heard of him before? Interesting I also read in that article that Vince Young may be letting the attention go to his head instead of preparing prooperly for the NFL. One wonders if his stock will drop a few slots and cost him serious cash.

Never heard of him but that might be a plus since we heard a LOT about Pal Joey before the Lions drafted him and he sucks. Maybe an "unknown" is the way to go?

Why are Lions fans even mentioning running backs? Don't you guys know who your new Offensive Coordinator is? Running backs? Pshaw! True enough. We had one of the greatest to ever play the game for 10 years and never made it to the show. I mean I like Jones, but I think Lions management (and many fans) have been pinning their hopes on making it with a one man show for too many years. First we thought Barry could do it all and then every QB that arrived during and after his time right up to Jerk-off Joey. Sure would be nice if they put together an honest to God TEAM, like the Wings did in the late 90's, the Pistons now, or even a one year wonder like the '84 Tigers.

Take a look at your team's projected draft pick in the first round, and comment what you think. This guy is saying that Detroit will take a QB in the first round, but that's not what the latest news about Joey Harrington suggests. I think that the Lions need to work on picking up some decent offensive linemen to protect Joey. With Mike Martz as our new O-Coordinator, our offense should benefit tremendously. We just need some players that will protect the QB and open holes for Kevin Jones.
