Urbina throwing heaters in the off season?: Seems like the guy can still throw the flaming heat...but, I am not so sure that is what the Phillies had in mind....

Why is it that these guys are always sleeping when there are machetti's and firearms involved at their houses....they miss all the fun!!

Spending all one's time with hookers tires a body out.

Urbina is a free agent. A jailed free agent, yes, but still a free agent.

Wasn't it Urbina who had a family member kidnapped? Maybe he has devoted his life to extracting revenge. Coming January 2006.

...or has a criminal past/present? sounds pretty Pablo to me.

Sounds like Ugy needs to look for a different place to live. It's weird how some athletes move into big mansions in gated, secure communities like you see on MTV's "Cribs" while a few seem to move right back into this bizarre, almost third-world type of environment you'd think success would allow them to escape. I mean, jeez, bizarre murder attempts, following up on family kidnappings? Talk about living a dual life.

I'm going to guess that he wasn't involved and is being named because he's got a lot of money. Why would he take part in something like this? What would he have to gain? He'd have an awful lot more to lose.

Why indeed? Even if he didn't participate, why are his employees getting petrol dumped on them?

Wonder if those employees still have their jobs or if they were fired... heard they took too many smoke breaks. Sounds like he just gets really pissed when people "bathe" in his pool.

I have heard of the "Fireman of the Year" award, but this takes it to a new level. I know bad joke for a terrible act. Urbina's life seems to really have gone down hill since his mother was kidnapped last year.

"Urbina spoke sharply with them..." yeah, when you let your machete do the talking... They were arguing over a handgun? What jackass brings a machete to a handgun argument? I hear he made several calls to Jayson Williams that night for advice on how to cover this up.

This story is a little F-ed up. He has an evil eye...look at him...he's just the kinda guy who would think "man I'd love to take a machete and gasoline to that guy!". If he wasn't involved with this thing someone has ito ut for him. Either way....I'd stay far away from this guy and make sure I don't piss him off...Mr. Blonde indeed.

He's been spending way too much time with Greg Maddux.

Lord help us if he gets picked up by the Cubs. With Urbina's brains and Maddux's muscle, the world would never be the same.

Venezuela's a screwed up place in some areas. Some drug lords kidnapped his mom last year. I bet there some crazy twists in this story no one even knows yet. He probably has a group of guys specifically picked to protect his mom's house that may be a little "suspect" and they went way overboard.

I think Urbina has some past issues that he needs to deal with. I think someone is out to get him. last time it was a kidnapping by some venezuelan drug lord. IF he was mad at the workers, firing them would've got the job done.

IF he was mad at the workers, firing them would've got the job done. Um, that's what the gasoline was for.

Covering these guys in gasoline. Sounds like the work of Mr Blonde. Clowns to the left of me jokers to the right here I am stuck in the middle with you.
