Fans BEWARE, Ron Artest vows to play "out of control"!!!!: He says that he "will continue to play hard and out of control, like a wild animal that needs to be caged in" Also, when about whether he would react the same way he did the night of the attack he said, "I don't think anybody's going to throw anything at me, and I don't see me reacting how I reacted."

I love Ron Artest. Maybe not as much as Jay Leno and Jay Mohr love Ron Artest, but nonetheless, I love this guy. Total do it my way or no way kinda guy, and an All-Star. I'd love to have him on my team. He'd scare the shit out of the guys who aren't playing hard.

That's probably not the best choice of words, but perhaps Artest is borrowing a move from Muhammed Ali and saying the thing most likely to keep his name in the headlines. Either that, or he's still the rube who thought jumping into the crowd was a good idea.

Artest is very Rodman-like. He seems to be very conflicted inside. I'm no shrink, but Artest, like Rodman, will say one thing on one day, and the exact opposite a day later. He is very hard to predict. It will be fun to watch him battle the Pistons and Heat this year.

Count me in the Artest Fan Club, but don't put much stock in it. I love crazy.

ALL I REMEMBER FROM THE WHOLE ARTEST-FAN PUNCHING THING WAS THAT HE WAS TOO CHICKEN SHIT TO MIX IT WITH BEN WALLACE. IT REALLY TAKES A BIG PAIR TO PUNCH A FAN IN THE STANDS. HE IS QUITE THE BAD BOY.

Turn off the caps lock, please? My head hurts...

SORRY AT WORK I TYPE IN ALL CAPS AND SOMETIMES FORGET TO TURN IT OFF. oops....

Artest is big pansy, he was twice the size of that fan and I agree with HATER 187, if he was so tough why didn't he mix it up with Wallace. He is just a punk with tough mouth and a skirt on under his B Ball shorts. P.S. Whatever happened to the multi-platinum rap album he was supposed to put out... Oh that's right, his mouth is only good at talking sh**. To rap you have to be able to back it up.

Whatever anyone thinks of Artest, the Knicks still passed up a chance to draft him in order to pick the immortal Frederic Weis...

Lets just never ever talk about the knicks please. never ever. thanx

Ron artest my be crazy but when he played 2 years ago with the pacers they won 60 games. When they didnt have him they got around 40-50. Even if ron artest doesnt go out and score 40 points a game; the opposing team knows he's around and they know that they have to watch everything because he is a DEFENSE machine. His presents is well known even if he is having a bad game

I feel your pain, Hater.

Can't wait for Fox to bring back celebrity boxing so we can witness Artest's "out of control", "wild animal" style in all its glory. Until then, the guy is an idiot with bball skills. He makes the game more interesting unless of course you're a fan in the first few rows and you happen to spill your beer.

hey charlie i'm not denying ronnie's prowess on the court especially on the defensive end of the ball but his out of control playing style would only scare me if i were in the first few rows of a game drinking beer.

Ron Artest was throwing hay-makers at everyone except people with the same build as him. Like hater said, he didn't go after Big Ben. That is like me going to my daughters school and punching some 5th grader. No doubt the fan was wrong, but I get cut off in traffic every day and I don't follow that person home and pop em one even though I want to. Artest is a time bomb and he is going to go off again.

"I don't think anybody's going to throw anything at me..." (Artest) said. After all the lawsuits get settled, I'll bet you somebody will throw something at you, the same way people used to talk shit to Charles Barkley, just hoping to get their face busted so they could run, not walk, to the nearest civil litigator. Good luck, loony!

Hey I'm from From the Motor City area and I love Artest. Don't get me wrong total idiot? Yes. This guy however is entertaining as hell, NBA's ansewer to reality tv. Oh yeah and GO PISTONS!!!!!

You like Artest AND the Pistons? You must be a severely confused and conflicted individual.

posted by rockin_the_suburbs at 05:23 PM on October 12, 2005

Artest? Pansy? Were those two words used in the same sentence? I would like to see that pud take a shot in the face from Ronnie. He's a chicken shit huh Hater? Well when he comes to your town you throw a beer at him dickhead. Bad news NBA fans, Ronnie buffed up during his year off. Thats means trouble for those stuttering Pistons fans. Look out BA-ba-ba Ben Wallce, you may get knocked on your A-a-a-ass.

Totally conflicted I'm an enigma, wrapped in a quandrum surrounded by a big ?

posted by fade2244 at 06:41 PM on October 12, 2005

KingKrock have you seen how buff Big Ben is?????

posted by fade2244 at 06:42 PM on October 12, 2005

Have any of you people ever seen NBA players fight? Haymakers and slaps do not a monster make. Why would Artest have attacked Wallace when he was in a disagreement with the fans? Not like Ben serves the beer during time outs.

posted by yerfatma at 07:48 PM on October 12, 2005

Bens huge, no doubt about it. Have you seen Ron?

posted by KingKrock at 10:09 PM on October 12, 2005

Is this body building or basketball? If you'd rather see Ron and Ben shirtless and oiled up that's your business, but I still like my boxscores full of points, boards, blocks, etc. not biceps and chest measurements.

I hope he has a great year, but as a Pacers fan this dude gives me way to many headaches. Even though he's likable and fun to watch. I've seen him in quite a few games. On the court he really is a remarkable player, even better than people seem to think. All his awards have been earned. But.... He's a fucking nutjob that can go out of control. Every once and awhile depending on his mood he'll jack up threes for *no goddamned reason* and totally disrupt the offensive flow of the game. His actions were unacceptable. Honestly, I'd prefer it if we traded him.

Good baller, but he's an idiot.

posted by Desert Dog at 03:45 PM on October 14, 2005

And why the fuck would you throw a beer at anybody in pro sports? Can you afford to pour out $7.00 of liguid gold?
