I've been on a baseball field when one of those suckers started up, back when I was in high school...It's a pretty cool thing to watch, but not anywhere close to the level of a tornado.

freaky. reminds me of the a news clip i saw a few years ago of lightning striking a field during a soccer game. everyone on the field dropped like flies. think some of the players may have died.
