Never liked Hatcher one bit. Dirty player. But injuries are unfortunate, and yet I have a hard time feeling sorry for the Red Wings. Go Sens.

He ought to be back for the playoffs, though. Go Devils, Go Sharks.

Wow ... now I'm not so upset about someone taking him two spots before me in the draft. :)

As a Stars fan, I'm disappointed to see Hatcher suffer a season-eating injury. I didn't want to see him eating our lunch in Communist bloc red, but the guy dropped the hammer on opponents for years in Dallas. When you see the Stars this season trying to establish a physical presence without him around, you really see what a difference he made.

Thanks for fucking up all my predictions, Darian. Ever the asshole, huh?

Bah, always disliked him. Go Oil!

I'm glad about this for two reasons... 1) I had him as a pending waiver pick up on my fantasy league, which I promptly cancelled 2) I won't have to yell as much at my TV this season, since the amount of stupid penalties the Wings will take has now been cut in half And since Jason Woolley has waited so patiently to crack the lineup, I'm not too worried about the hole in the Wings defense. Maybe Hatcher and CuJo can write a book together..."How To Make $13 Million By Doing Nothing"

This just in: Al MacInnis is out too.

Careful, wfrazerjr, the hockey god is a harsh mistress.
At least now I have company in the injured defenseman rehab group.

While we're talking hockey, who here likes the Wild third jersey? I think it's great, one of the better jerseys in years. Certainly beats those awful new Calgary shirts.

AUGH!!!!!!! Careful, wfrazerjr, the hockey god is a harsh mistress. It would also seem the hockey god is a hermaphrodite.

That Wild 3rd reminds me of the old Blackhawks sweaters...and classics are never a bad thing...

posted by MeatSaber at 02:52 PM on October 17, 2003

I like 'em both, Succa. Of course, black and red are two of my favorite colors.

re: the Flames jersey, I like the sweater, I like the black logo, I don't like 'em together.

wfrazerjr, don't ask how I found out, needless to say the story involves a bar and gratuitous drinking. Then doesn't every story on SpoFi start with a bar and gratuitous drinking?

ok, NewJerseysFilter.... how about the nod to the civil war that is now incorporated into the Columbus jerseys? and as for the Flames jerseys to me they seem like Sens retreads save for the logo.

Civil War or red-white-and-blue-with-stars aside, I'm just glad they're getting rid of that stupid bee.

gpsm, they could've gone with their original idea.

St. Louis is just fucking snakebit after the way Pronger was out so long last year too. Dead pool for next season?

So since the start of the season my (non-Yahoo) continuing hockey pool team has lost: Heatley Zhamnov Daze MacInnis Hatcher Boguniecki I can pretty much close up shop on that team for 2003-04. Oy!

I would like to point out that for this one shining moment, I am beating grum in our hockey pool.
