I couldn't believe that the NBA had THREE DAYS in between games. That's ridiculous.

Crosby brings the cup into the locker room.
Real men don't wear ski goggles when celebrating.

ESPN/ABC and Turner don't pay the NBA truckloads of money to have the TV broadcasts butt against other events. Last night was occupied by a feature baseball game on ESPN and the Stanley Cup final elimination game on NBC. Tonight's game will have no serious competition for viewers other than local MLB and network NCAA baseball. The ancient saying is, "Money talks and BS walks."

I couldn't believe that the NBA had THREE DAYS in between games.
They needed the extra time to send the Game 4 officiating crew to state-sponsored "rehabilitation" at an undisclosed location.
Tonight's Game 5 does not feel like a 3 games to 1 Game 5. It doesn't even feel like a 2-2 Game 5. It feels like the Warriors have to take this game or else -- the shit will strike again.
With this many notables taking part in the Finals, it almost seems like All-Star week. There should be an undercard of skills competitions. My vote would be for a Dumb Foul Contest between Draymond and JR Smith.
I want to see if the Cavs show up in their ugly sleeved dark unis that they wore in Game 2 and also wore in Games 6 and 7 last year. They clearly feel that those sets now have vital mojo. I don't blame JR for going shirtless in the victory parade after having to wear one of those things.

I know it's said so much as to be trite, but greatest trophy in sports and greatest trophy-related traditions.

I understand not having NBA Finals and Stanley Cup games on the same night, but I was surprised by the number of open Friday and Saturday nights with no game.

The finals in the NBA and NHL seem like they're dragged out a lot longer than in the past.
I feel like the momentum is lost with all the long breaks. Give me one day between games when they stay in one city and two days when they travel.
