CFL Pick 'Em, Week Eleven: Happy Labour Day! Dr. J is on vacation, but that doesn't mean the Pick' Em sleeps. Sleep is for the weak. Grab a long-weekend coffee for the drive home from the cottage and make your picks inside.

Labor Day weekend approaches, but to us of the permanent leisure class (that is, retired bums) it is of no consequence. Well, my wife the educator does have a 4-day weekend (Friday and Monday off), so yours truly will have to do something extraordinary in the kitchen. Having been spoiled by the excellent seafood available in Nova Scotia (Digby scallops are without peer), It might be difficult to do anything with fish. Perhaps some nice grilled lamb will work. In the meantime I will put my skills to work on the selections for this week.
BC at Toronto: The Lions seem to have discovered their pride (pun definitely intended and no apologies offered), and they are playing well. Perhaps the Argos will be their toughest test to date. They will pass the test, but not without some difficulty. BC by 3
Ottawa at Montreal: Ottawa came close to pulling off a nice win against BC after trailing. In the meantime Alouettes' performance has been as checkered as the Redblacks favorite shirts. This one could see a lot of points put on the board. Ottawa by 14
Winnipeg at Saskatchewan: Success continues for the Blue Bombers this season. They will achieve even more against those whose name honors the 26th President of the United States. Winnipeg by 6
Edmonton at Calgary: Can the Eskimos avoid being trampled by the Stampeders? This rivalry is as good as Boston - New York, LA - San Francisco, or any of the other great ones. (Maybe not York vs Lancaster, that one got nasty). The geographical separation is not great, the economic drivers are quite different (oil vs cattle an wheat), and the 2 cities could develop a real mutual dislike. This one will be a lot of fun, regardless of outcome. Edmonton by 3
Toronto at Hamilton: What? You again? Didn't I just pick against you already? Do you really think you will do any better this time? Tiger Cats have put its early season problems behind. Hamilton by 11

The West dominated in Week Ten action! BC grinds out a win against Ottawa, Winnipeg comes one step closer to proving they're the real deal with a win over Montreal, Edmonton fends off a pesky Saskatchewan squad while Calgary holds back the Tiger-Cats in Cowtown.
Scores from Week 10 will be posted when Dr. J is able to. For now, here's a look at Week 11.
WEEK 11
B.C. @ Toronto (Wednesday, August 31)
The Lions are one of the big surprises this season, looking like the Lions of old under old head coach Wally Buono. But the Argos have Ricky Ray back and a chance to take first place in the East. But winning at home hasn't been easy for the Boatmen.
Ottawa @ Montreal (Thursday, September 1)
Ottawa is struggling to find its 2015 rhythm, regardless of what QB is calling the plays. But Montreal, despite flashes of brilliance, are still not a consistently good team at home or on the road.
Winnipeg @ Saskatchewan (Sunday, September 4)
Banjo Bowl! Winnipeg will be looking to enjoy their newfound success as they stand poised to rub it in their prairie rival's face with a win on the road. But the slumping Riders will have something to say about that at Mosaic Stadium.
Edmonton @ Calgary (Sunday, September 4)
The Battle of Alberta game is always fun, but especially this year as the defending Grey Cup champs look to show the Stamps that they still rule the West. But winning in Calgary ain't easy for anyone.
Toronto @ Hamilton (Monday, September 5)
Two Argo games is Week 11? You're reading it right. The Boatmen look to catch up with the rest of the league in terms of games played with two this week. The Labour Day Classic sees the Argos head into Hamilton's new stadium where they can't seem to win for love nor money. Maybe this is their year?!
(Apologies for the late posting just hours before game time.)
