Congrats to jags for winning by a converted touchdown ... or 7 missed field goals, not sure which.
And thanks again DrJ

Congratulations jagsnumberone. Thanks again DrJohn for running the contest. Now I'm ready for the playoffs.

Thanks Dr J. Congrats Jaggy Boy and I look forward to all your good natured intra Commonwealth ribbing.
Until next season.

I have no good words for Jags, who was two points from taking the lead in week one, reached first in week two and never trailed after that.
Nor do I thank the medical professional whose work made this 11-year contest and thus, my suffering, possible.
I have decided to be a bad sport about the Chico. My bitter revenge next season will be sweet, like a beer that is bitter and also sweet.

Jags, you lucked into the birth of my daughter, which prevented me from making my final week picks. I have no doubt that I would have put up a 20 point week and snatched victory from you when you believed it assured. Nonetheless, well, played fellow rookie.
DJE, I appreciate your effort putting this together, even if you changed my name in the process.

tahoemoj, nine years and I never noticed the second "o" until now! Honest mistake.
And congratulations! I'll look for your 20-point week next year when your sleep-deprived brain turns you into a CFL prognostication genius.

Congrats tahoemoj!!!
Thank you DrJohn for taking all the time it takes to run this.
Now do you think we can take, oh let's say, six of my points and move them to the NFL pick 'em?lol.
My only disappointment is that a official CFL football wasn't the prize/lol

Unfortunately, those 6 points would only convert to 4.52 in the NFL pick 'em.

I greatly regret that I found it necessary to cease the selection process so early in the season. It came about by an inability to operate successfully beneath the salary cap and still make a profit. Oh, OK, pure BS. I found myself getting wrapped around the axle on Thursdays too often, and having to make the NFL picks did not help. Congratulations to jagsnumberone on his win, and to all who persevered throughout the season. Congratulations and thanks especially to Dr. John for putting this together. It's one of the things that makes SportsFilter special.

Congrats new guy, jagsnumberone. Well done. Held lead for majority of season, impressive.
Hey, big tanks to DJE for another great fun yr, even though a few of your postings were kinda weak, but funny for the most part. & tanks Reever for help in keeping pool going while DJE was jetting around.

Toronto grabs the win over Winnipeg in the final Argos game at the SkyDome. Ottawa hangs forty-four points on the Ti-Cats to take the East in style. Calgary rides a strong second half to beat the Lions in Vancouver, and Saskatchewan finishes strong by beating the Alouettes in Montreal.
argoal's 76 points would have been enough to win the CFL Pick 'Em in any other year, but not this year. jagsnumberone's 83 points shatter all available records (2004 and 2005 are still a bit fuzzy) and he walks away a most deserving champion. He moved into first place in Week 2, took sole posession in Week 4, and never looked back. Congrats, jags!
At the other end, owlhouse comes within a Ricky Foley hair of losing his grip on last place, but manages an 0-fer in the last two games to hang on to the Costanza. Well done owlhouse!
Thanks to everyone for playing along! Keep an eye out for the CFL Playoff Pick 'Em, coming soon to a SpoFi post near you!
