Pacman Jones Signs 2-Year Deal with Bengals: After being out of football since the 2008 season, Adam "Pacman" Jones agreed to a two-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday.

I know that I mentioned something about this in the huddle a few days back, but it still bugs the hell out of me. Brown's Jesus complex is going to blow up in his face-it might not be Jones-but it is going to blow up on him sooner or later. Or maybe it's not a "I can redeem them all" complex; maybe he's just a cheap owner who sees only a former first round pick that he can get for peanuts. Either way, this was a team that was starting to develop some character, and he continuously tempts fate when he brings repeat offenders into the fold. Cedric Benson and Tank Johnson, to date, have made Brown look pretty good, but they were never anything close to the issue that Jones has been since he began his career.

I doubt that the fact that the (hated) Steelers are pretty quick to rid themselves of low-character guys and the fact that they have six championships are coincidental.

If Akili or Klingler was at the top of the depth chart, the Bengs might have brought in Roethlisberger by now.

Don't make jokes--it seems like every time someone around here insinuates that a miscreant would be a good fit for the Bengals, they wind up in tiger stripes a few weeks later.

Sorry, tahoemoj. :(

My crystal ball tells me Pacman will never last the two years. He and Roethlisberger frequent too many of the same clubs.

If you are trying to upgrade a team why bring in a guy with a rap sheet long enough to circle your stadium twice?
