Would you give up a World Series ticket for sex with this woman?

Stephen Brunt does a nice summing up of our discussion of the McGwire story... minus grum's excellent stats, of course.

Has anyone been on more teams with more potentially first ballot hall of famers than Shaq? Kobe, Wade, Nash, and Lebron, just to name a few.

It's too early in Dwyane Wade's career to start talking Hall of Fame. As good as he is, things can change. Look at the career of Penny Hardaway at Wade's age -- when he was a four-time consecutive All Star -- and see where he is today.

If you live in Philly, She may be hot stuff.

Hugh Grant would.

Hugh Grant is in line behind Steve Phillips.

Steve was overheard saying something about ringing a Liberated Belle from Philly that had a cr.... never mind, it's not appropriate.

But what this diamondatrix doesn't know is that Phillips can't score comp tickets any more, so he can't really get her into the games.

When she finds that out after the fact, the previously newsworthy identifying characteristics of Phillips' groin area may well undergo a significant alteration.

Footballer charged with assault: Apparently the prosecutors didn't think being stabbed in both legs was punishment enough for Callum Davenport.

I'm hard pressed to think of a better sportswriter. I'm a huge fan of Brunt.

In apoch's defense, he did qualify him as a "potential" first-ballot hall-of-famer.

Hockey practice reaches a new level of intensity(?). I guess one could say the team stripped the game of all but its essentials.

Instead of shirts vs skins, it could be boxers vs briefs.

How much has your day been ruined if you are a Cleveland Indians fan and get to watch your 2 former Cy Young winners start the World Series tonight.

I'm a Mets fan so for me last night was like coming home and catching your wife f****** the Yankees and the Phillies.

So on the video link to goofy hockey commercials, here are a few worth giving your head a shake over. First, we have Pierre the French-Canadian snowman puppet who reportedly spent some time in the Chicoutimi C League. While I found these commercials mildly amusing, and while I'll admit that I'm not all that familiar with Phoenix hockey fan demographic info, I could never understand the relevance of this character to the Coyote fanbase ... let alone the comedy(?) in a mullet-sporting, French-Canadian hockey-never-was as a US Presidential Candidate???

And related to the "Minnesota Wild Things" ... can the NHL teams not afford good costumes for their ad campaigns? This Boston Bruin might have to spend some time in camp with some Alaskan grizzlies to get in shape.

In light of those, I'm shocked that hockey isn't catching on like wildfire in Phoenix. Started kinda cleverish, but they sure went downhill in a hurry.

Not the Bruins one, though; I love those.
