Will the Rams leave St. Louis?: Decisions have not been made as of yet, but an online petition is asking the new owners to keep the Rams in the Gateway City. Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill has signed the petition which pleads "Please, whoever buys the Rams, keep them here and don't move them away." The contract between the Rams and the Edward Jones Dome states that the facility must be "top-tier", and rank in the top eight stadiums in terms of quality. If that standard isn't met, the owners could opt out of the lease agreement.
I didn't know the Rams were even considering leaving. Cool. Maybe they'll go home to LA and be the Lambs again.
Sorry, BoKnows, I don't dig teams that move, but the didn't belong to St. Louis in the first place.

I have no sentiments either way with the Rams. I would fight tooth and nail for the Blues and/or Cardinals.

Where was Senator Claire McCaskill's concern when LA was losing the Rams to St Louis? Why wasn't she against that move and yet now is trying to fight this one? Sounds disingenuous to me...

Well, Claire McCaskill is a senator from Missouri, not California. That may have something to do with it. Oh, and she wasn't a senator then.

You're right. They should go back to Cleveland where they belong!

Portsmouth might be willing to take the Lions back. Then again, maybe not; an Arena Football League team might be preferable these days

Go back to LA? How about going back to Cleveland? After all, that's where they started. (Like the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Minneapolis Lakers; LA is only good for stealing other cities teams--and then whining when it gets done to them.)

rcade: I thought about that, but Cleveland has a hard time holding on to one team, let alone two!

They can hire Dennis Erickson as head coach and just let him move the team to a new location every year or two instead of switching jobs.

All football teams, pro and college, should be moved to Detroit.

Then we'd finally have one worth watching.

Exactly my thinking.

If the Rams moved would that make them the most often moved NFL team?
Off the top of my head the Raiders, Rams and Cards have each moved twice.

There's a hockey team from up Detroit way that has some buzz surrounding it.
