Such an awful tragedy to happen to the child of a man whose life has been well documented as successful but tragic in itself. My thoughts & prayers are with the Tyson family.

It is too terrible to contemplate. RIP.

Terrible tragedy. When my kids were little, we had to wrap up all the blinds cords and similar cords to avoid something like this, which happens to hundreds of small kids a year.

Beyond tragedy.

Nobody deserves this. After all that Mike Tyson has put himself through, and just when it seemed he was putting his life on the right path, this happens. I will pray that he has the inner strength to understand it and get past it.

This is very sad but my first thought was "Mike Tyson had a four year old daughter?"

Whatever you think of the man, this is very sad.

Condolences Mister Tyson.

Losing a child is about the worst experience you can imagine. My sympathies to the Tyson family.

Mine as well...i've never heard it even mentioned. Which brought about my 2nd thought which was "I wonder if he was even part of her life" as there are so many athletes who are not.

Terrible tragedy. My wife always laughs at me when i yell to the kids in the other room "Are you guys alright?". She says "what can happen..they're in the other room!". A LOT can happen..and in just a few short minutes. My youngest is 5 and you start thinking they're getting out of the age where you have to watch them constantly for situations like this, but this poor girl was only a year younger. Shame.

bdaddy: I am paranoid about my kids safety. My first kid was smart and naturally stayed out of trouble. Our second isn't as smart and gets into stupid situations (like wrapping stuff around his neck). Third is only 12 weeks old so no worries yet. Well, at least not of them hurting themselves...

This is a terrible tragedy. It's a tough one. This too happened to my family. My nephew died when he was two. Suffered a seizure and died in his sleep. That was three years ago. My sister is an utterly amazing woman (though she struggles mightily), who is doing much better now, but the little guy's older brother, who's 6, is having a hard time. You just try to figure it out as you go. No easy answers.

We can kids who lose their parents are called orphans, and husbands and wives called widows and widowers - but there isn't a word for when you lose your child.

Sorry Mike.
