New Year's Resolutions...

I WILL learn about soccer, pick a team to root for, and participate in soccer posts. I WILL continue to haunt Ray Lewis from the safety of my keyboard.

I WILL find the financial backers to buy the San Jose Earthquakes. (Anybody who wants to chip in, let me know...)

I WILL be at World Series and Superbowl parades in Boston.

I WILL remember not to draft Wally Szczerbiak.

I WILL hang on to my best pitcher on my fantasy baseball team, regardless of how good the trade offer looks. I WILL NOT let the fear of an impending lockout/strike diminsh my enjoyment of hockey (NHL, World Cup) in 2004.

I WILL play in at least one SpoFi fantasy league. I WILL NOT believe the Rangers will make the playoffs until the Rangers actually make the playoffs (something they won't do).

I WILL pre-set rankings for fantasy drafts. I WILL NOT eat green eggs and ham. I WILL NOT. garfield, I AM.

I WILL try and watch some of the less popular sports during the Olympic broadcasts this summer.

posted by smithers at 09:03 AM on December 31, 2003

I WILL continue to make sweeping generalizations about fans of individual sports. I WILL witness, in person, a Brewers victory at Miller Park.

I WILL continue to push for Joe Morgan and Joe Theismann to be summarily silenced, then pitted against one another in a duel to the death. I WILL stop looking at the Cardinals' starting rotation and thinking, "It's good enough to beat Chicago and Houston." I WILL get over JG marrying other than me. I WILL replace my normal football dining fare with something more healthy such as buckets of lard, or fiberglass insulation. I WILL continue to freely admit I enjoy professional wrestling, even as Randy "Macho Man" Savage releases a rap CD and Hulk Hogan returns to the ring. I WILL spellcheck all posts, and try to get everyone on SpoFi to spell "Belichick" the same way I do. I WILL join SpoFi's fantasy soccer league next year, but only if wc2k2 plays in a fantasy NASCAR league.

I WILL remember to spell Belicheck the correct way. 86, you should totally play fantasy baseball this year. i can pretty much guarantee it won't be the People's Court episode it was last year. happy new year's, boys! hope 2004 is full of love, happiness and success for you all.

It's a two-fer holiday for me. New Years and Anniversary. Steak Dinner here I come! Oh, resolutions. Right. Um. I WILL pay more attention to my fantasy teams. I WILL pay my bills.(tentative) I WILL make up for not making my annual trip to Vegas this past year.

jersey, you really need to get over the fantasy baseball league, you won, do you need to keep bringing up the bullshit. I could go into how you are a manipulative person who thinks she's all innocent,"who me? I'd never do that", but the damn thing is over so I resolve to let bygones be bygones and never bring that up again.

I WILL continue to push for Joe Morgan and Joe Theismann to be summarily silenced, then pitted against one another in a duel to the death. Oh man, this one should be on all our lists! Can we throw in JP Dellacamera and make it a three-way fight?

posted by billsaysthis at 02:30 PM on December 31, 2003

I WILL just accept the fact that my Carolina Hurricanes suck ass. I WILL try ... to ... do ... something. I dunno. Quit looking at me.

I WILL all my earthly possessions to Meatwad. I WILL survive. As long as I know how to live, I know I'll stay alive. I've got all my life to live; I've got all my love to give. I will survive. I will survive. Hey hey. I WILL. Irwin Will. Perhaps you've heard of me? I WILL STOP WRITING WITH THE CAPS LOCK ON BECAUSE IT"S REALLY ANNOYING AND MAKES IT HARD TO TYPE NUMBERS AND PUNCTUATION> IT"S REALLY EMBARRASING TO SAY< were #! people point and laugh> I WILL get drunk at a Jets game and try some of my bad ass game on Suzy Kolber.

posted by jerseygirl at 02:19 PM on January 01, 2004

Apparently Baby A is extremely, and I mean that in a Guinness Book way, precocious.
