As a beer drinker, the name brewers offends me.

If it offends the majority of native americans I think some names should be changed. I'd like to see some statistical polls taken from native americans. I know some tribes have given their blessing to names such as the Seminoles. I just wonder if it is a true sentiment of the majority or if it is a few political activists that like the drama.

Don't know about the heart...all i know is they have the nfc's best qb,rb,o-line,and argueably the best coach. Put them in the afc and i might agree with ya, but the nfc doesn't seem to require a heart.

I honestly am not trying to bash the guy, but before he landed the yankee job, he coached 11 years with a losing record. He finally hit the lottery...good for him.

Jersy girl is right, afterall he was 894-1003 before he went to the Yankees. That shows that the most mediocre manager can win with the yanks.

Hey pauleye...maybe the people that do not like him simply don't threaten to kill people and have kids intentionally try to hurt other kids. He is a poor role model and an angry old bastard. His stats are over rated. My grandma could win a bunch of games if she coached 40 or so years. The program will blossom now that he is gone.

Anyone have any thoughts on J.B. Holmes performance over the weekend? I'm not into golf at all but i was glued to the tv watching him this weekend. He is from my town and his dad is my insurance agent.

And by the way...nothing is "codified" into law. Laws are codified.
posted by scottyooooo at 10:15 AM on January 13, 2006
If you are very, very lucky, your views on privacy will never be formally codified into US law, and you will be able to continue to live your life without your employer walking through your front door at dinner time to make sure that you aren't eating too much saturated fat. Doing so would protect their interests, after all. This does not have to be made "into" law, because there are no laws against it. Of course they can't come in my house, but if they wish to test me at work that is fine. I hope for you're sake that you're hoilier than thou feelings never make it to law because testing your fellow employees might keep him from coming into work on crack and pulling a gun when you start spewing your nonsense

Ifyou do not want you're privacy invaded...work for yourself and not in a public job. Employers have every right to drug test. It protects not only the company's interests but co-workers as well.

The bengals are division champs. How the hell can you say a loss is what they needed most? That is ridiculous. They lost the long ball threat when palmer went down. He has to be worth 2 td's and a field goal if he doesnt get hurt.

I think the texans should trade the pick for an offensive lineman and take another lineman as their first pick. Lineart doesnt make sense for texans even though he'll probably be better than Carr, There's too much invested in Carr to give up on him yet. He just needs some protection. That's what I would do but i'm sure they will take Bush....then he can get beat up and washed up early like Carr.

This is the real world here...who cares about being politically correct. They put themselves in these situations and i could care less if they are labled for life.

The yankees will sign some more washed up ex-superstar pithcers, a couple of high dollar outfielders way past their prime, and they will make an early exit again next year. With the exception of A-rod, they havent impressed me with any of their aquisitions. They need to start young again.

How about a litle love for Smoltz? He is now the winnest pitcher in post-season history. He is a 1st class all the way. For Smoltz to throw that game against clememts seemed like poetic justice. The life long brave who does anything his team needs against the overbearing, money hungry, club hopping, bullying villan. Karma is a bitch isnt it.

Stick a fork in the Vikings. They are done. Tice should be fired and the sooner the better. Randy Moss carried this team on his back for years. Tice and Dante both owe some back rent to Moss. I wonder how many people were banking on Dante's fantasy numbers this season?

Kudos to the padres. It amazes me how some people just scroll through here and try to pick peoples comments and opinions apart just for the hell of it. I wonder how many even read the article. For those that think the padres should not be admired for doing the right thing...fine, thats your opinion but why are you posting at all if you feel that way?
