You forgot about the Bengals killing the Vikings!

And the lock of the week and the trifecta. And what's your bet per game, $50? But it's a fun read - thanks.

I actually agree with most of your picks, though I expect that Atlanta will surprise more people.

Geez, this is what I get for hurrying. Here are the addendi ... addendix ... here's the stuff I missed: For clarification, the bank account runs like this -- $100 per game ATS, $100 on the trifecta and $300 on the Lock of the Week. The house takes 10% juice, and the betting is an even $2K per week. Minnesota at CINCINNATI (-3): I happen to love Daunte Culpepper. I just don't think you can expect the Vikings to win on the road when they have a total of one decent running back on their roster, and it's him. Cincy 30, Minnesota 24. Lock of the Week: Pittsburgh Trifecta: Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Detroit

I have to say also that I hate this new column system. Invariably the comments get split. Can we go back to the sidebar? I liked it over there -- people thought I was a Google ad.

I agree with your Atlanta pick completely. The Falcons will lose, if for no other reason than the usual letdown after a big Monday night win. Vick is a quarterback with a fantastic arm who can't pass. A few will look very pretty, but he'll never be consistent. Put him at a position where he's expected to run, then utilize him until he breaks down (which would take about 2 weeks). I also just have a feeling about Houston coming up big in their home opener and the Steelers coming back down to earth a bit. And I was in the stadium last weekend to see firsthand how pitiful Houston's offense looked. Just a hunch (which usually turns out to be the reason I never bet big money).

If Tom Brady's hair is worth a touchdown, you're calling for Carolina to beat the spread??

You forgot about the Bengals killing the Vikings! Hell, I wouldn't worry too much about it. After last week, I'm trying to forget about the Vikings too... Come on first offensive touchdown of the year (hopefully).

Colts Jags will be closer than you think. Jaguars went into Indy last year and left with a W. Fred Taylor always runs well, and Leftwhich is a baller. Colts'll still win though, they're just too good.

Thaddeus--wow, one wrong and one overlooked. Gee I suppose your picks are better? Judging by your ability to type, probably not. At least Fraze is willing to take the time and heat by posting his every week.

Thaddeus, the Texans pick is the second game listed. I did leave out Minnesota and Cincy, which was corrected above. I was just slightly off on the Chicago pick, but I missed a crucial piece of info that some other prognosticators did get. Apparently, Slim Shady bet the entire Detroit team they couldn't play a game without their testicles. Had I but known the Lions would be competing with empty sacs, I would have adjusted my line.
