2 pitchers for the price of one?: I can see KC picking this guy up for a song... the concept is pretty cool though.
Uh, yeah, I think I know what your trying to say, breezy. Let me just fix that up for you there: Ok, about that whole top 1o hardest things to do in sports on SportsFilter...its totally wrong. Im sorry but if you really think about it, gymnastics reading the article and posting on-topic is clearly the hardest sport skill. Any person can put a ball in a hoop, or throw a ball, or hit a ball with a bat, or run, ride a bike, and learn to pole vault make profane, judgmental, prejudicial, downright dumb, or even witty comments in about a weeks time a few seconds time...maybe they wont be great at it, but they can do it...gymnastics complete irrelevancy however, if you are not great at doing a certain skill tuning out the conversation around you...you will die or break your neck end up saying something related to the discussion at hand....... that's all I have to say about that Thank you for your insight, Forrest.

I'm so right handed, I can't even brush my teeth lefty without making a mess, let alone throw a ball without looking like an ass, let alone throw strikes effectively at a high level of competition. That's truly amazing. I would love to see this kid pitch live, at any level. Oh, and cybermac, thanks. Instead of going to bed thinking "what the fuck was that all about?", I can doze off laughing. Well said.

What a completely random derailment. Way to totally wreck a thread with your first comment. 0-for-15.

By the way, thanks for the story, firecop. It seems to me that we've covered somebody like this in the past several months, don't know if it's this kid or not, I think it was somebody younger, and there was a minor firestorm here about the father forcing his kid to learn to throw with both arms. Anyway, I'm too lazy to look it up. Neat story.

Breezy's debut comment on SpoFi ranks right up there with the guy who got beaned his first (and only) pitch he faced on a major league team (I can't recall his name). Both complete disasters.

Dyams, I forgot his name too, but he's now playing in the Royals farm club. He has vowed to make it to the bigs this season.

You're thinking about Adam Greenberg, dyams.

I would love to see this guy pitch live. That glove is equally amazing, too. An ambidextrous pitcher never crossed my mind until I read this article. Nice post, firecop!

Well, why the hell not. People were saying similar things about Jim Abbott when he came up, and he worked out okay.

I want to know what kind of velocity he has, and lets all be honest, the picture of him throwing lefty doesn't exactly look graceful.

This pitcher uses both hands/arms to pitch, Jim Abbott had one hand, correct? I'm not trying to start anything, I just can't follow the logic.

The switch hitter dilemma and how they handled it is classic. After all, this guy is a "switch"pitcher.Maybe he is the next Ironarm McGinnety, who pitched both games of doubleheaders in the 19th Century.

It says he tops out at 91 mph right-handed and relies on a slider as a lefty. And there are tons of herky-jerky pitchers in the bigs whose weird motions aids them.

I knew a guy in Babe Ruth ball like this as a kid. They had to work out a compromise on the league's IP limit. If my memory is right, kids were allowed 7 IP per week, but he got either 5 or 6 per arm. I could be off a little, though. It's been a while. I almost wish I could have seen the weird comment before it was removed.

Very cool. His hand-switching motion reminds me of Jim Abbot (wish I could find a vid). I'd like to see him make it up to the majors, if only for the novelty.
