Number 9, Number 9, Number 9: The ninth Cincinnati player arrested in the last nine months, Johnathon Joseph started 9 games in 2006, his rookie year. Oh, he was busted for weed possession. Turn me on, dead man; turn me on, dead man; turn me on, dead man...

psmealey, I just read your Metro-North story. When I lived in NY, I was in Goldens Bridge, one stop up from Katonah. And of course you're right about the turntable thing...it wasn't difficult at all.

After that 100 post bashing of Mike Vick for something he didn't do (lab results show no weed found and no charges filed)I vote for no more threads like this until there is an actual conviction. No disrespect intended to you personally Texan, but this shit is getting 9x old.

I'm with Bishop on the sentiment that this is just uninteresting. But I have to point out that the Ron Mexico name generator played a big part in the volume of comments on the last one.

Bishop that was in no way a 100 post bashing about Mike Vick. Most people just wanted to use the name generator and if they posted about the FPP at all, it was basically a one or two sentance blurb.

Sounds like it says "Turn me on, numbnut."

First we have to make sure it was actually "weed." You see, if it looks like weed, smell like weed, and smokes like weed, well, maybe sometimes it's just NOT weed, and you don't get charged. He's charged with possession, but whose to say after a couple days, it's just not weed? so what an M4 or 5 depending on the amount. Really nothing more than a simple high speed conviction, except the fine may be higher. This does get old, maybe more severe penalty by mlb???

This is more about the Bengals at this point. They need to start taking character questions seriously before they add these players to their team. Odell Thurman, Chris Henry, AJ Nicholson for starters all had character problems before the Bengals drafted them.

Dang, for a second, I thought it was a white guy, and somebody had violated the "Bad News About Black Guys Only" policy. Whew! On edit: YTMND, yerfatma.

TBH, why not just go with the Mike Vick was hung out to dry, even though he was innocent angle of my post, instead of AGAIN taking your race jabs. Man, will you ever get over it? You claim to hate when that occurs, and yet you consistently attempt to lure people into it. Not to mention you didn't return to YOUR own thread and man up about posting a non-story. You also called this paraphernalia. Turns out he didn't have paraphernalia as you falsely claimed in your thread. You ran with a non-story, no big deal, we all have. I would have hoped that at least you would post that he didn't have anything that you claimed, but hey, who wants to use the Ron Mexico name generator on a thread about a pro football player carrying a security device. It was much more fun to say he had weed, even if it wasn't true (per the local DA after lab tests showed no sign of drugs). I don't think anyone will make a new thread about him being falsly accused, but If he was charged and got 30 days community service for having weed residue, we would have another 100 poster on our hands (minus the Ron Mexico weed generator the TSA used).

"Man up" about posting a "non-story?" You really are a funny guy. Yep, I posted that story on the AP wire; I gave that story to CNN, MSNBC, Fox, and every other English-speaking news outlet this side of The People's Republic of China. In addition: I killed JonBenet Ramsey, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Chandra Levy; I'm the one that came up with New Coke; It was my idea to invade Iraq; I invented global warming; and, last but not least, I taught Greg Maddux everything he knows about ritualistic torture. "Man up." Dude, you're killin' me. Better hurry, somebody's speaking evil of Donovan McNabb in another thread. Run along, now.

The New coke thing was you? You son of a bitch.

No fun to get your card pulled is it? The truth seems painful to you. The McNabb thread is going very well actually, you should check it out. Just don't ruin it.

HOLY SHIT! You roll with Maddux?! Weren't you 2 in on that little dust-up in Panang? I heard that got ugly. Got any details?

bishup on the vick story. it was only a non-story after the lab determined the dark particulate matter was just dark particulate matter. I'm sure that the boss at Miami CSI is raising caine with his staff over this one.

Got any details? I'd tell ya, but apparently my card's been pulled. Not quite sure whether that's a yellow card, a red card, a dance card, a playing card, a credit card, a business card, a birthday card, or what, but dammit, it's been pulled! I feel so empty now.

Makes you wonder if this has less to do with the popular recreational pastimes of the Cincy ball-players than it does with law enforcement focus in that area of the country. The guy in your second link lacks imagination utterly: Not every family had reel-to-reel tape recorders and it was impossible to play an 8 minute song backwards on a turntable so I don't think many people ever got to hear the whole thing. You could absolutely do it on most turntables back in those days. All you had to do was put the record play in neutral, put the stylus on the desired track, and use your finger to turn the record backwards.
