Slamball: the ultimate spectator sport? it aint no rollerball, but then again, death in sporting events hasn't been popular in a few years. your thoughts? if you have no idea, check it out. The best thing on TNN, ever!
I have to admit, I was ready to laugh my ass off at the game before it started, but it was pretty damn entertaining. I think that when the players get a bit more practise, it should really start to look good. There were too many sloppy plays, and the players looked a bit confused out there at times, but I can see where a pair of disciplined teams would be fun to watch. If I'm near the tv next Saturday, I'll probably give it another look.

It was ok. They should have trampolines on the walls too. The court seemed a little small. I guess I thought it should have been more exciting than it was.

Slamball is excellent. The last two weeks it has been on at 11PM on Monday nights after WWF (Get the E Out!). Much better than I thought it would be. The dunks are unreal, and there's some interesting strategy decisions.
And the best part about it? Dick Bavetta doesn't fix the games. Think NBA mixed with NHL and WWF with a side of NFL and a sprinkle of XFL...It's original enough that it probably has a better shot at surviving for a while. I'm still a bit sketchy on some of the rules, but last night's broadcast was excellent.

JawaKing, buy a Tivo. I will not shut up about this fantastic tool until people stop asking when things are on and how they can see the show. It is an absolute must for any television viewer, in particular sports fans. More Slamball was on again last night... and more to come on Saturday.

Well, besides
WWFWWE Raw, jabrone! Seriously though, I found Slamball interesting as far as the aerial antics go - but the game seemed a bit slow. For outrageous pseudo-sport I still prefer Arena football. And the WWE.posted by owillis at 12:46 AM on August 06, 2002
