What is with this New Orleans stuff! I don't want to open it because I've always been taught to not give out personal information on the internet...

As a Wake Forest fan I have mixed emotions. Happy to see Paul do well, but damn, I wish he was rookie of the year NEXT year. Or year after even.

Who came in second for this award? It couldn't have been close. More importantly, as much love as I have for Byron Scott as a former Laker, why does it seem like his teams have consistently faded at the end of the season the last few years? That said, this team would have easily finished in the money in the Eastern Conference. The future looks bright for the Hornets with Paul, David West, and J.R. Smith.

I'm pretty sure Toronto's Charlie Villanueva came second

Yeah- Paul REALLY dominated... he was by far the most prominent rookie. Anybody know where Channing Frye ended up? He was about th eonly bright spot the Knicks had this season.

Why does the NBA insist on leaking these things days before the announcement? That's so weird. And I've enver been a fan of presenting these things while the playoffs are still on - I wish they would wait until the end of the season. And the order is all fucked up, too - MVP - then rookie of the year? I just think it's really dumb.

Deron Williams got a first place vote? I didn't realize his mom was one of the voters. Unbelievable. Here are their respective stat lines: Paul -- 16.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 7.8 apg, 2.2 spg Williams -- 10.8 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 4.5 apg, 0.8 spg Whoever voted for Williams for first place should have his/her voting rights revoked.

What, I really can't buy this one. There were so many more deserving candidates! ...this is really out of the blue.
