BROTHERS IN ARMS: Remember the Titans? Don't forget the Gulf Coast, especially close to the one year anniversary of it. A little disclosure: I was the student manager for this team until the year before Katrina.

Now for the bad: Hornets owner George Shinn is concerned that the city of New Orleans has not recovered enough for the team to play a full schedule there next season.

got a question: back in september '01 we played at RFK vs. honduras in front of 54,000+. did we really throw smokebombs on the field like sam's army said we did?????? they say something about a rumor that US soccer was fined by FIFA for that. the reason i say that is now IMO we need our fans to start misbehaving. i don't advocate real violence that would put us below the poles and english on the subhuman level, but stuff like disabling the A/C in the visitor's locker room before the game, jacking a wheel off the team bus on the way to the game, or waking up mexico in their hotel rooms on the night before a match, like the famous "project mayhem". mischeivous stuff. stuff like that IMO would go a long way toward proving that american soccer fans aren't wimps and soccer moms like the world perceives us to be. fact is, the world has made an obsession over this game, probably because it's the only one we haven't mastered yet. but we're getting there.

this kind of makes me wonder what is the biological limit that a human can run unaided by steriods or wind?????? i have a feeling that in my lifetime(i'm 20) the record is only gonna get to 9.7 or so at some point, well, we just can't run any faster

i'm a big arena league fan and orlando is notorious for having the most classless fans and players in the league(and i'm mad that new orleans has never beaten them yet) of course their theme song is "Welcome to the Jungle" by the way i have austin and colorado meeting in arenabowl XX

you know NFHSA football rules specify a touchback for any kickoff that lands IN the end zone that's right, IN the end zone. Not past the end zone or off to the side it might reward teams with good kickers, but i want to see some more kickoff returns at my old school's games.

joe88, kittydog42, yall must not know the truth about the hornets/new orleans deal the arena/Hornets lease contractually OBLIGATES the Hornets to play there until at least 2012. The only reasn the Hornets are playing another year in OKC is to allow the new orleans fan base to replenish itself and the city to rebuild further the Hornets are COMING BACK TO NEW ORLEANS in 2007. by then, if a portland or seattle deal isn't settled by then, oklahoma city could be in line to make one of those its permanent team. i hope oklahoma gets its own team so we can have a friendly rivalry between N.O. and OKC

Greece celebrates stunning upset.
maybe next year and every two years afterward there should be an "NBA World Cup" played under NBA rules with NBA refs in NBA arenas with the prelims in different NBA cities every time and the finals in L.A. then we'd see who's really the best at basketball the way we play it, with fairly officiated games and no anti-american bias besides, one game really is very random to determine the best teams in the world. i would say eliminate the fourth meeting every year between teams in the same conference but different divisions. that would chop some games off the schedule, as well as playoffs becoming best of five all four rounds. that's 15 games eliminated from the NBA schedule that only the bean-counters would miss(and why it would never happen). then you could have a true world tournament every august-september(olympics, FIBA, NBA world cup)
