Steroid Club for Men: Jose Canseco's new book reads like an infomercial for steroids, according to Slate. One of the many touted benefits -- increased bat length: "Using growth hormone can make your penis bigger, and make you more easily aroused. So to the guys out there who are worried about their manhood, all I can say is: Growth hormone worked for me."
Gives a whole new meaning to "getting good wood," huh? I'm just sorry these accusations (revelations) had to come through CanFlakeo, who has about as much credibilty as Chicken Little.

Why are people now questioning Mark Mcguires (sp?) stats?People forget he hit 49 homers as a rookie!! It wasn't something he started doing when he was 37, like SOME players we know.

I have posted about half a dozen posts on this in the past several weeks. The whole situation is perplexing. Baseball comes up with a policy, a renegade names names, and then the baseball establishment denies that anyone was using the stuff. Based upon these developments, I wrote a poem to commemorate the situation. Go to www.sportsprof.blogspot.com to check it out.

Every record set in the last 15 or 20 years is suspect. The single season home run record holder is still George Herman Ruth. Uhh...any chance you remember a guy named Roger Maris? That was a more than 20 years ago...

Who needs the FDA when Jose can just tell us what drugs are good for us? I know I would trust him with my medication advice. Puh-lease. He should talk to some of the other athletes whose bodies have been ravaged by roids (Mandrich, Alzado, etc.) before he goes around promoting them as healthy.

Jose is a bold new voice in American literature - Penis growth complemented by testicle shrinkage? Hey, the smaller the potatos, the bigger the steak. Performance enhancing, indeed.

the smaller the potatos, the bigger the steak Now THAT is the epitome of humor. LOL. And I don't LOL very often. Do you think the "steak" is really bigger? Or does it just appear so next to the shriveled raisinettes?

I'm pretty sure Alzado won't have much to say... Not to wish ill on the guy, but if Canseco has done as many steroids as he claims, he may get a chance to talk to him sooner than he'd expect. I'm amazed that a multi-millionaire wouldn't immediately quit juicing the minute his guaranteed contract has been signed. What's the good of all that fame and money if you're not around to enjoy it?
