What If?: Yes, you saw that commercial right. Marion Jones competing in floor gymnastics, Randy Johnson bowling, Lance Armstrong in the boxing ring, Urlacher and Vick playing for the Avalanche and Andre Agassi fielding 2B for the Red Sox. Nike rolls out their spring campaign asking "What if..." in some rather creatively editted (and long) commercial spots starting tonight.

How natural did Randy Johnson look as a bowler? (save for being a foot taller than anyone around him)

Very strange advertising.

How natural did Randy Johnson look as a bowler? Randy Johnson doesn't look natural period :) He does have the awesome mullet though, so he may have fit in well.

booo, this is the internet, we wanna watch the commercial. (which can be watched on the Nike site if the obvious Watch the Ad link is still visible on their US front page. if it wasn't Flash I would strip the link out for you, my skills are limited) Randy Johnson totally looks like a bowler. No problem believing that one.

I don't know if that was really randy johnson, i'd guess it was because it looked very smooth. that wasn't really andre agassi in the red sox uniform though. they editted his head over todd walker's body. i distinctly remember that dugout scene from last year where he's facing varitek, it was after walker hit a HR. todd walker also played second, was #11, etc.

scratch the 11 part. it was still todd walker's body though.

I seem to recall that either Johnson or Schilling really is an agressive and good bowler in their off time. So that one may have been real. The rest were clearly video edits, particularly the marion jones one.

I thought it was a great ad. The tennis sounds when Serena served the volleyball and Vick spitting onto the ice were nice touches.

Cool ad - should've had Serena doing something less tennis-like (archery? luge?)

That's an excellent ad.

should've had Serena doing something less tennis-like (archery? luge?) I agree. I thought the funniest segment was Lance Armstrong boxing. Can't get much further from cycling than that. Here's a slightly more direct link (still Flash).

Why can't I trade places with Mike Tyson? He can be a professional desk jockey, and I can make millions of dollars making an ass of myself.

Eerie. I just caught that commercial while watching the Cavs/Rockets game on ESPN. Nothing really new though. Nike is just rehashing their "Bo knows..." concept. Still, it was goofy to see Agassi playing baseball.
