They pulled that game off? Last I saw it was under a minute and they were down by a bit. Gotta love the playoffs

I've watched a lot of basketball over the years and that was one of the best games I've ever seen. Instant classic.

Amazing. So little time for that move.

I was cooking for 9 people today; my wife's family came up from Connecticut for dinner and "catching up". Gail's step mother is 92, so there won't be many more chances to get together. I was able to catch bits and pieces of the first half in between trips between the grill, the 3-season porch, and the kitchen. We were settled for dinner on the porch during the 2nd half, but our son (and my assistant cook) made numerous trips to the kitchen to bring us updates. Just before dessert we heard a piercing scream from the kitchen. I jumped up from my seat, knocked over the chair, and damn near broke an ankle in my mad dash. I got there just in time to see the replay that confirmed that Tatum's layup beat the clock. I can bet that the Garden went nuts.
Holy Week is a frantic time for Vergers like me, and beside having company, I was very busy at church. I knew that I would not make it to the game, so I put the seats on Ticketmaster for sale. They sold for roughly double the discounted price that season ticket holders would pay. So essentially game 2 is free for us, and my son and I will be there in our usual place, Section 316, Row 5, Seats 9 and 10. We are looking forward to it. So right now I'm watching the game via the magic of the dvr.

I watched the Celtics build a lead, but in the back of my mind, kept hearing the old SportsCenter adage, "It's the NBA, everybody makes a run." I really thought Brooklyn had stolen it until that madcap last 10 seconds.
What a game. This series is going to cause an absurd amount of palpitations.

The nice thing about not having your team in the playoffs is that you can objectively watch each game and just enjoy them. (stupid Pistons!)
Can't say the same about hockey, though, since my enjoyment in the sport (which I do love) is 100% tied to how well the Hurricanes are doing at the moment.
