CFL Pick 'Em, Week 12: It's snowing in Calgary, which means it's time for the revered Canadian tradition of... feeling really bummed out that summer's over. But as the saying goes: when summer is done, the Grey Cup's nearly won! That's right, only a scant nine weeks until we crown a Pick 'Em champion. Grab your toques and make your picks inside.

Australian films this week. A young Mel Gibson and a bleak post apocalyptic landscape? That's Edmonton by 16. Horses, horses and horses, some of them stampeding? That's Calgary by 11. British Columbia is Canada's Tasmania, right? BC by 5. Luckily Australia's landscape offers lots of opportunities for wide open spaces and lots of weird shit, too. Saskatchewan by 9.

I'm slipping into a tie with the omniscient owlhouse. Must concentrate and aim the pun gun more accurately. Let's see if any of these can help.
Montreal at Edmonton: Two peanuts walk into a bar. One was a salted. Alouettes walk int Eskimo country. They too are assaulted. Edmonton by 14.
Toronto at Calgary: A man carrying a slab of asphalt under his arm walks into a bar. He says, "Give me a beer, please, and one for the road too." Argonauts walk into Calgary and try to get one on the road. Rampaging large quadrupeds misunderstand and give them a sound thrashing. Calgary by 17.
Winnipeg at BC: "Doctor, I can't stop singing 'The Green, Green Grass of Home'".
"Hmm, that sounds like Tom Jones Syndrome, but don't worry, "It's not Unusual".
It is a bit unusual to have what appears on paper to be a rather even match. I'll go with the home team. BC by 6.
Saskatchewan at Hamilton: Two man-eating tigers are eating a clown. One says, "Say, does this taste funny to you?" A large group of Rough Riders will eat some Tiger Cats this weekend. It won't taste funny at all, but the Hamilton fans will have indigestion. Saskatchewan by 9.

In Ottawa, B.C. prevails in a sopping wet defensive battle. Edmonton makes a game of it but can't quite keep pace with Calgary's firepower. Montreal digs deep and pulls off the massive comeback against Hamilton, while Saskatchewan keeps on rolling in Winnipeg.
owlhouse notches five points to move back into a tie for first, while goddam's impressive eight-point week leapfrogs her into contention.
WEEK 12
No guaranteed points this week as Ottawa takes the bye. But still a few East-West games for funsies!
Montreal @ Edmonton (Friday, September 12)
Opposite streaks: Edmonton finds themselves stuck in the middle after losing two straight to Calgary, while Montreal's won two in a row to tie for first. But the Esks still have a lot more pedigree this season than the upstart Alouettes.
Toronto @ Calgary (Saturday, September 13)
Two more streaks: Toronto's lost three and Calgary's won five. If you're ranking good places to break out of a streak, McMahon Stadium won't be high on that list. Especially in the snow.
Winnipeg @ B.C. (Saturday, September 13)
Poor Winnipeg: a thoroughly respectable season has landed them in the basement. But B.C. lives on the first floor, so if the Bombers want to move up, now's their chance.
Saskatchewan @ Hamilton (Sunday, September 14)
Well, Saskatchewan has won seven straight and shows few signs of slowing down. But hey, Hamilton has a shiny new stadium!
Good luck!
