CFL Pick 'Em, Week 3: The roller coaster ride continues (literally, Edmonton's roller coasters just opened—ride 'em now before the permafrost advances again in August) as we have a new contestant in first place AND a remarkable streak of zero points. Tune your intrigue-o-meter and make your picks inside.

The expansion Redblacks make a go of it in their first game, but a big fourth quarter puts Winnipeg back in the driver's seat. Montreal gets their act together at home, beating the visiting Lions. In a wild and sloppy back-and-forth game, Hamilton loses both the game and their starting QB, and holy cow! Toronto lays a big ol' beating on the visiting Riders.

Margin of Error6 to 1011 to 203 to 523 to 43

rcade nets a tidy five-point week to move into first, while Howard_T nails the Winnipeg game to jump into contention.

Also worthy of note is bender: his flipping coin has gone a solid 0-for-8 so far this year. How long can the streak continue?

Hamilton's bye week couldn't come at a better time. They'll rest Zach Collaros while the rest of the league vies for early position.

WEEK 3

Winnipeg @ Montreal (Friday, July 11)
Winnipeg takes their surprising 2-0 record on the road, visiting a Montreal team that isn't quite sure what to make of itself yet.

Ottawa @ Edmonton (Friday, July 11)
Out west, Edmonton's 2-0 record has been a little harder earned as they regress positively in 2014. The expansion Redblacks are in for a tough one.

Calgary @ Toronto (Saturday, July 12)
Bo Levi takes his game to the big city! Last year's division winners, both eliminated in the division finals, look to restablish themselves early in 2014. Call this a coin flip.

B.C. @ Saskatchewan (Saturday, July 12)
An intriguing divisional matchup: Saskatchewan tries to figure out what went wrong last week, while B.C. tries to figure out if Kevin Glenn has an expiry date. Give the Riders the edge at home.

Good luck!

I've never set foot in Canada, or North America. Montreal by 7. However if I did, I'd be certain to stop off at the Wolf Den Hostel and Nature Retreat at Algonquin National Park. Edmonton by 18. Why do you say that, owlie? Well, it's just been bought by one of my old aid worker colleagues from Afghanistan. Toronto by 12. If I do end up going to my nephew's wedding in Guelph in February, I'll drop in. Jen told me that she has a pair of snowshoes ready for me. Saskatchewan by 15.

I did? Sorry, you're on your own. I've never been north of Rochester in February. But you're welcome to come down to New Jersey and we can stalk Tim Cahill. I know which CVS he goes to.

Here we go again. Better late than never. I have 1 minute to kickoff of Winnipeg at Montreal, so I have to be quick.

Here goes:

Winnipeg at Montreal: The little larks turned out to be tough old birds vs the Lions. This time they get to try the Blue Bombers. The Bombers show up with an empty bomb bay and fall to the suddenly nasty Alouettes. Montreal by 16.

Ottawa REDBLACKS at Edmonton Eskimos: The Eskimos are hanging out at their own ice floe, and the color confused from Ottawa are trying to find their way. Look for the Eskimos to turn the REDBLACKS into seal blubber. Edmonton by 12.

Calgary at Toronto: The Argonauts have shown some talent so far, but the Stampeders look to be too strong. The stampede will rumble through the big city, and the Argonauts better head for the lake. Calgary by 13.

BC at Saskatchewan: Lions were unexpectedly clawed last week by a bunch of tiny birds. They will be angry. The trouble is they will come up against a group of Roughriders who might just ride all over them. Poor kitties will need some extra kibbles to get over this one. Saskatchewan by 4.

Good. I was worried that I'm going senile. The offer to stalk Timmy still stands though.
