Blocked shot? Broken leg? Play on!

Oh yeah, that's a quality witness for MLB.

Good thing for MLB this isn't a court of law.

Which is to say, this is a witch hunt that isn't going to be fair or impartial at all.

Bad thing for MLB when they get taken to court by the players (individually, or the union) and lose big time.

Bruins winger Gregory Campbell was praised by his teammates for a gusty effort

Typo, or did Campbell eat some pre-game beans?

Campbell demonstrated the toughness of hockey players, broken leg or not.

George Karl is out as Nuggets head coach, meaning the Nuggets have parted ways with both the 2013 executive and the head coach of the year.

Has a team ever won Coach Of The Year and Exec of The Year and then had them both leave within a month of winning the awards? The Nuggets fire George Karl.

On edit: I take too long to post.

Well, they normally call him "Soupy", so maybe this was an improvement.

Just watching him agonizingly offer his body up AGAIN in the event Malkin is going to shoot from the point almost makes me cheer for a Bruin. Almost. That's one tough guy.

David Ortiz made a bit of a statement tonight. In a 3-3 game, bottom of the 9th, Gomes leads off with a double. With a left-hander pitching, Texas decides to walk Pedroia. OK, you know what's coming; Big Papi is a proud man and walking someone to get to him is an insult. Sure enough, Ortiz deposits a thigh-high fast ball into the bullpen for a 6-3 walk off win. Actually, that wasn't the statement. That came next. The team surrounded Ortiz at the plate, and he came out of the pile with his uniform shirt nearly off. Underneath he had on a gray "Boston Strong" t-shirt, and on the back of the shirt -- "Famous as F**K". Only Ortiz can get away with something like this.

Anyone wanna take odds on Puig's PED use?

posted by LionIndex at 01:50 AM on June 07, 2013

Puig's grand slam is awesome, but Vin Scully's words (and lack of them) is what makes him the best ever.

That's what make Vin Skully one of the greatest announcers of all time. He knows when words cannot describe what just happened so he just let's it play out.

Anyone wanna take odds on Puig's PED use?

That's the only thing that bothers me about PED's. Someone cannot excel in the sport of baseball without PED's being brought up and that's no one's MLB's fault

On a side note: Puig has a beautiful swing

Why, the burgeoning Cuban steroid scene? Let's enjoy sports until they disappoint us instead of pre-boarding our disappointment along with the elderly and those travelling with small children.

Well, actually, yeah. Padres called up a Cuban rookie last year who hit 4 homers in 7 games, and may now be facing life banishment.
