Baseball fans hopping on the field to attack umpires or base coaches are wusses. Protesters that disrupt the Tour de France are soft. How about running onto the track duing a Formula 1 race? Hardcore! Extreme! Stupidity!
That's crazy. What a nutter. I was just listening to one of the drivers who went past him and he said that he would have had no chance of avoiding him in a car travelling at 180mph. I hope they throw the book at the crazy bastard.

Wow. Hardcore! Extreme! Stupidity! indeed. [ooh... spofi needs mefi-like taglines. This could be the first. ;)

I'm scared that sooner or later, we're going to see one of these idiots actually hit by a car travelling at speed. At the middle of Hangar Straight, F1 cars should be going at about 170mph. The results of hitting someone at that speed would not be pretty. I was surprised the marshall didn't kick the shit out of the asshole.

Salmacis, old chap, how many of these idiots are there? I hate to be pendantic but surely you meant arsehole?

MeFi: SpoFi with taglines! Seriously, such a nuter might be turned into last week's jam if hit by a car at 180mph, but what about the car and it's driver? Wouldn't he be in pretty deep shit?

To be fair, Status Quo were due to play after the race, and if no on one had forwarned him, his actions were entirely understandable.

Meanwhile this was the best race I've seen in years. The way Rubens fought back to the win was what F1 needs more of. This guy on the other hand is not.

Salmacis, old chap, how many of these idiots are there? Well there's more than one. Oddly enough, last time it happened, Rubens won that race as well. Coincidence? I think not...

I think a guy running down the course and getting hit by an F1 car MIGHT not kill him (amputate his legs for sure, but he might live) but the driver would be in deep doo-doo because of those legs hitting him in the head. Yah, that's gruesome. A decent tackle by the race official.

"Read the Bible - the Bible is always right." In other news, Zondervan has decided to drop this latest advertising ploy as marketing tests have come up negative.

I look forward to the day that one of these people just gets properly eviscerated by a race car. They'd desintegrate. I'd take extra pleasure knowing that they were talking about the bible when it happened too. There's just something fitting about the whole equation: Kilt, Bible, racetrack, the healing love of God, TV, and 180mph cars.
