Aside: is it just me or did the goal scorer interfere with the goalie during the shot?

If that's the best he can do with that rather insipid foot shuffle, he ought to be suspended for ineptitude, if not for the cheap shot itself. In other words, it was not much of a kick, almost as if the good angel on one shoulder said don't do it, while the bad devil on the other said hit him hard and make it hurt. Zanetti, unable to make a choice between shoulders, proceeded to make a half-hearted effort. Severity of effort and injury notwithstanding, the sheer poor sportsmanship and dirty play of the incident says that Zanetti should not be allowed to play hockey at any level for a good, long time.
noMich, it looked like the puck was past the goaltender and heading for the net before the shooter hit him. Good goal.

God it would have been awesome if they tacked some time on for the half-ass nature of the kick. Of course it would have been pointless too, but that's hardly relevant.

Calvin Johnson is the new Madden coverboy. I'd say I don't believe in curses, but that, strictly speaking, wouldn't be true.

He plays in Detroit. The Madden curse reached through time and already got him.

I did that in the NFL playoffs and finished third, which is really more impressive than winning it all I'm thinking.
