Jamaal Charles Tears ACL, Out for Season: Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles appears to have torn his ACL during the team's 48-3 loss to the Detroit Lions Sunday. After this loss and the 41-7 loss to Buffalo in week one, the Chiefs have the worst two-game point differential of a defending division champ in NFL history.

Talk about a disappointing season so far. I think everyone expected a better year out of the Chiefs then we have seen so far. Losing Charles for the year may have finished off their season already.

Better Luck next year.

I put the over/under on victories for the Chiefs at 1.5 this year now. I seriously have no idea where they're going to come up with wins.

Week Nine. Miami Dolphins @ the Chefs.

I suspect Miami might be onto a new coach by then though.

I'll tentatively take the over. They play Denver twice and after watching the last two weeks I believe the Broncos can lose to anybody.

With Charles out for the year, it seems unlikely that the Chiefs can rebuild their foundation on their quarterback, because, after all, Cassel's made of sand...

The NFC North and AFC East look fierce. The AFC West looks the same as always - like no one wants to win it.

Those are Herm Edwards scores.

But hey, it's not the Chiefs' fault that their schedule led off with games against two members of the 2011 NFL Troika of Global Domination.

Lucky for them they don't play the third member, Washington.

Three teams, six wins, and the world apparently at their feet.

KC could probably beat the current Colts lineup.

Meanwhile, Weis is living the life at one of the nation's great centers of early season involuntary weight loss.

He's also continuing his tradition of coaching runway model QB's with Brantley following in the footsteps of Brady, Brady and Cassel.

(Terry Bradshaw, I guess you were just born too soon).
