Chris Johnson Lashes Out at 'Fake Titan Fans': Less than two weeks from the start of the NFL season, Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson is still holding out and not too happy with what he's hearing from some fans. "Can these fake Titan fans STFU on my timeline," he tweeted. "I don't have a regular job so don't compare me to you and I can care less if uthink I'm greedy."
They don't have another RB on the roster that can come anywhere close to Chris Johnson talent wise.

There are maybe two in the league who come close. These negotiations have been lacking, very public and make everyone involved look bad. Perhaps Johnson's putting pressure on Titan ownership to trade him, but regardless, he looks like a spoiled brat and the Titans look like cheap morons for letting it get to this point.

Bud Adams is just cheap. Chris Johnson should never have been forced into this position. As soon as the CBA was signed, they should have thrown money at him. Instead, they have created a hostile environment. For some inexplicable (to me) reason, fans always side with the owner. What do you ask in return for a player like Chris Johnson on the trade market? This close to the start of the season, no one is giving up a key part of their franchise, and that is what he is worth. I have to wonder if the Titans even want to win at this point.

Man, dontcha just love what social media, especially Twitter, has done? Every time a thought pops into someone's head, it gets placed on the internet to be critiqued by the masses. Just in the past few days we've seen this tirade and Arian Foster's rant against "sick" fantasy football owners. You've got to believe that these would still just be thoughts rattling around in the guys' heads but for today's filters-be-damned, you need to know my every impulse culture. For better or worse, it's transformed public perceptions of athletes and the nature of contract negotiations forever.

That's big. It's a shame that Johnson had to ruin his rep with the local fans in the process, but my guess is the first time he puts up 150 yrds and a couple of TDs, all will be forgiven.

This Titans fan has not sided with ownership on this issue. Chris Johnson has been playing for very little and has more than earned his raise.

Plus, the way he plays, with his running style, he is one guy who needs to earn what he can while he can. He can't keep doing like he's been doing indefinitely.

Wow .. bet that gives management lots of incentive to sign him. Best for the Titans to sit him for the year and develop another RB.
