No Double Dip for UConn: The 2 seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish women's basketball team defeated the two time defending national champion Connecticut Huskies 72-63 on Sunday night to receive a place in the national championship game, in an upset much bigger than the UConn men's basketball team making it to the national championship. UConn's 2004 basketball teams will remain the only teams to win both the men's and women's national championships in the same year.

I saw the TAMU team beat Baylor - it was ragged at times, but the Ags are tough and know how to win. I like that roster.
The thing about women's hoops still being a fairly small world with a small elite group is that there's a greater chance that the best teams will have played each other on a non-conference basis during the regular season than in Men's Div. 1, and if these teams face each other in the tournament and they're from the same conference, they may be playing each other for the fourth time in a season.
I think A&M and ND had both lost their prior 3 meetings this year to Baylor and UConn respectively, and finally broke through on the big stage.

Anyone that had Notre Dame and Texas A&M meeting in the final can go cash in their ticket and take the next month off of work.
I didn't watch the ND/UConn game, but the Ags are playing brutally well. Beating Baylor and Stanford back to back was impressive.
