Bears' Dave Duerson Commits Suicide: Former Chicago Bears safety Dave Duerson was found dead in his south Florida condo Thursday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 50. Duerson was a starter on the Bears' 1985 Super Bowl team and was the NFL's man of the year in 1987. He told family before his death he wanted his brain to be studied for signs of the disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
So tragic. It's the kind of story that makes it hard to love football.

Someone should remind me again how players are greedy when they ask for more money...

Excellent link, ma.
I don't think I am going to enjoy football like I did.

Just absolutely heartbreaking. He was one of my favorite '85 Bears. I just hope something positive can come out of this tragedy. RIP DD.
