Well, that was an interesting finish to the Silva/Belfort fight last night.

Don't click this link if you don't want to see how it ended.

I can't believe Fryman was 70, let alone that he's gone. I already felt old before I turned on the computer.

What a strong effort by Liverpool to hold Chelsea's high-priced attack to nothing much all game and put in a dinker after the Blues' defensive dithering. Suh-weet I say!

I can't remember the last time I've seen a front kick end a fight. The gif doesn't show back quite far enough to tell but that kick was lightning fast and came out of nowhere. Silva looked a lot more interested in this fight than he did in his last few.

We do everything bigger in Texas, including apparently totally f'ing up the Super Bowl. Apparently setting a Super Bowl attendance record has nothing to do with people having seats they paid for or being able to actually get in the stadium with their tickets by the time the game starts. Or will they find some excuse to delay kickoff to try to avoid a bunch of empty seats, assuming current delays continue?

Orlando vs Boston basketball today looked like a Super Bowl preview, with bodies all over the court, injury time outs, and a couple of technical fouls. Marquise Daniels was the only one seriously hurt, sustaining a bruise to his spinal column. He'll miss 1 - 2 months, but the injury does not appear to be more serious than that. Video is on the Celtics web site.
