100 Best Sports Photographs of 2010: and parts 2, 3 and 4. I need to know what happened in #16.
#21 is literally (IMO) sick.

I would say that a great many of those photos are simply action shots with no sport associated with them at all. Nice pictures though.

I like the caption for #24:
"Salzburg's David Mendes da Silva kicks the ball with his face"
Picture aside, this has to be a punchiline for a joke.
Mendes is quite the contortionist. You should see him punch people with his feet and knee people in the groin with the back of his hand.

I think #21 is what Dick Motta meant to say all those years ago: it ain't over till the fat lady swims.
I have an alternate preference.

Not sure I'm buying that #21 was truly taken in -33 degree weather. As one that grew up in Minnesota (almost Siberia) and as on that has completed a couple of "Polar Bear" swims on New Year's Day, I just don't think one can walk in that attire, jump in a river, and then use that small towel as your only cover getting out. Could be the skeptic in me.
Great photos, even if a few really aren't "sport" related.

Nice to see "Donkey and Shrek" as #3 in Part 2. Their presser after the game was a hoot.

I need to know what happened in #16.
The skipper spotted a wind shift and plotted a new course down the east coast of Tasmania.
/Gets worse than that in Bass Strait, as lbb linked to.

I don't see how it's possible to list the best photos of 2010 and not have this or this in there.
(But I might be biased...)

The visually impaired Paralympics cross-country skiing medal winner Verena Bentele walks down the side of a 60-meter wall of a high-rise building during a house running event in Munich August 19.
Buh?
Love the photo of Valuev, though. I might have to see if I can get that one signed.

How did this not make the list?
No kidding! And the retouched one is also fabulous.
