New Pitt Coach Arrested for Domestic Violence: New Pitt football coach Mike Haywood was jailed Friday for domestic violence after an incident involving the mother of his 21-month-old son at his South Bend home. The unidentified woman told police that Haywood grabbed and pushed her as she tried to leave with the child. Haywood, 46, is being held without bond until a Monday arraignment.
For any talented, young, up-and-coming coach who has seen what Gary Patterson has done at TCU and is inspired to likewise go build or rekindle a legacy at a lesser regarded school rather than fight up the ladder to get a job at one of the perennial top programs, Pitt would be a darn good place to land.

He should be. They have been promising the keys to the car since I was in college 10 years ago. I remember recruiters telling me. "JoePA wont be there long enough to see you graduate." That was in 97.
