Are you tough? : I'm pretty tough...I've been in the military, been in many fights, hiked for miles and miles...almost drowned twice! But HOLY SHIT! This guy is insane!

Mountain biking and hiking alone in the canyon where 1000-pound boulders can fall on you. He's tough alright, but maybe not so smart. Maybe accident-prone? Has bad juju? If you ever meet this guy ... watch out for falling pianos!

Anyone capable of amputating a limb is made of something different than I. Anand what's with God getting so creative with the cruelty thing? Padding the resume I suppose.

I'm not that tough. I would have perished. Yeah, I'd be a goner as well. Surprised he didn't go into some kind of shock While being pinned...that boulder had to crush something. But, hacking off my arm is a decision I hope nobody would have to make.

I had to chew my arm off one time ... oh wait a minute ...

Ralston told them he used his pocketknife to amputate his right arm below the elbow Thursday morning. He then applied a tourniquet and administered first aid from a kit he had in his backpack. I'm no field medic, but my intuition tells me a tourniquet before amputation might have the way to go. Then again, his way seemed to work. Necessity is often the mother of excision. But not always. Yipes!

Sure he's tough and all, but he's only got one arm. I could take him.

Samsonov, I get the feeling that this guy is so tough he could tie his OTHER arm behind his back and still take you. I just can't imagine anyone ever trying to tell this guy about how painful it is to get a sliver or step on a nail without him slapping them (with his good arm).

Yeah, Samsonov, you might need my help to hold back his one arm. And someone to watch out for falling boulders. Just in case, you know.
