Can I Haz Stanley Cup?: Professional hockey goalies usually wear intimidating custom masks, but HC Lada goalie/ Tampa Bay Lightening draftee Vasiliy Koshechkin, whose name is similar to the Russian word for kitten, decided to go in a different direction (via MetaFilter).
I'm sure that Emile Francis played in the days before masks became an art form, but would "The Cat" have worn something like this?

I've been waiting over 20 years to be able to sit on the couch and holler "Hello Kitty five hole!" without my wife testing a 20 inch skillet on the back of my head.
