Irate Fan Sneaks in to England's Locker Room: An angry England fan burst into the locker room to berate players after the team's nil-nil draw against Algeria Friday. He was intercepted by David Beckham and was allowed to leave before being arrested, an oversight authorities are now attempting to correct. More unhappiness from the birthplace of soccer: England striker Wayne Rooney said as he left the pitch, "Nice to see your own fans booing you."
The fan couldn't be any more disgusted than Ally McCoist, who constantly berated the England side during the ESPN broadcast yesterday. He almost reached the point of questioning their manhuid.

I'm no defender of boorish fans, but why shouldn't they be booing? They came thousands of miles on their own dime to support you and you put on a performance worthy of GG Allin.

Only sometimes GG's shit actually hit the mark.

As one wag asked of the dressing room invader: did he have his boots with him?

From my BiL: The England team went to visit a hospital for kids with cancer in South Africa this morning. "It's good to put a smile on the faces of people with no hope, constantly struggling and facing the impossible," said Siphiwe Khune, aged 6.

Wait - A drunk fan infiltrated the inner security of a major sporting event and managed to exit without incident?
I would've thought we should be advocating his tazering and a conviction for hard time. He could've been a murderer!
Or something like that. I'm not certain how this hysteria is supposed to go.
Part of me wants England to not make it through, so at the very least they won't have to face the embarrassing throttling that would likely come from the Germans.

I'm sure Ally, as well as Andy Gray, are quite happy to see England beaten.

Not to worry, the English side all keep their Webley revolvers in their lockers.

The fan has been identified, and he says he was looking for a bathroom. The prosecution seems excessive to me.

England and France seem to be trying to 1-up each other in absurdity. I'd say France has the lead right now, but there's still this situation to resolve and the final matches of group play.

If I'd been there I'd have done the same thing. Appalling performance. Rooney needs to stop whining and start scoring.
