Roethlisberger Won't Appeal 6-Game Suspension: Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said Monday that he won't appeal the six-game suspension given him for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy and issued a statement apologizing for his actions. "The commissioner's decision to suspend me speaks clearly that more is expected of me. I am accountable for the consequences of my actions," he said. "Though I have committed no crime, I regret that I have fallen short of the values instilled in me by my family."
Wow, does he have a mullet in that picture?

Yeah, good job by Bens publicist. "Everyone thinks you are a dirty hillbilly rapist. Make sure you give you statement looking that way"
The fact that they let him give his first statement looking that way was a joke. You will notice that yesterdays statement was "released" not read by Ben. Probably because he sounded so insincere in his first statement they thought it best for him to stay home. Also if you live around Pittsburgh, the story is he was in the clubs Wed night after the suspension. Guess he thought he was getting traded.

Ben has "vowed to make personal changes" ....
guess that means he plans slipping his victims roofies along with the alcohol so that they'll be unable to describe details of his encounters to the media.

The guy looks like shit. He's been getting fatter and fatter as the years go on, and he probably needs to make some real changes very soon. If it's not his bad decisions off the field that will cost him his career in the near future it will probably be his body breaking down on a more consistent basis because he's a fat, out-of-shape clown who drinks too much and doesn't bother to keep himself in top shape. He'll soon find out what he can shake off in his 20s will be a totally different story as he reaches 30 and beyond.

At least the mullet is greased back. Maybe he's a Dapper Dan man.

Which would mean that he doesn't like FOP? I imagine that the pleasing aroma is one of the primary reasons he chooses that pomade.
I know it's been said again and again, but I can't believe that any self-respecting publicist would let someone in his situation go out in public looking like that. Does it take Ari fucking Gold to recommend a haircut, a shave, and some nice clothing when one is discussing/apologizing for allegations of criminal behavior? I think it's obvious that Ben is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he does pay someone to advise him, no? Damn.

BornIcon had this yesterday, but he linked to the original Roethlisberger statement April 12 and I thought it was old news.
