Pagani Zonda. Whole thing leaves me wondering if they even considered the track while redesigning it. And if I can get a pair (three seems ostentatious).

It's just what you've been waiting for: a team song for the Florida Marlins sung by ex-Creed frontman, Scott Stapp.

Good god, as an Always Sunny fan, this is enough to make me cheer for the Canucks. How in the hell do penalized players keep a straight face?

Now they should ban those idiotic caps with the ear flaps that Tampa wears. It makes Joe Maddon look like he should be standing near an elementary school, wearing a raincoat and holding a puppy. I think I got beaten up when I was a kid for wearing a cap of this type. Outlaw them!

I just wanted to say that Sidney Crosby's schooling of Jason Spezza behind the Senators' net last night, before setting up the winning goal, was amazing to watch.

This is where the NHL should get a LOT of credit for adjusting the rules after the lockout. Before then, Spezza would have basically rode Crosby's back, or hooked him to a crawl with his stick.

That's awesome! Is this the first time those guys have made an appearance?

Great videos tahoemoj and DrJohn...loved them both.

Actually Spezza did a good job of staying on Crosby and not drawing a penalty. He forced a pass back to the point which was a low % shot that went in. Most players would not have been able to stick to Crosby that tight for that long. I agree it reflects well on the rule changes though.

If I were an Ottawa fan watching the CBC I would be so pissed off at the love affair with Crosby and by extension the Penguins. Bob Cole is completely wet for him and can't remember more than half the Ottawa players. He was about 10 seconds late on calling the first goal as well.

To be fair, Bob Cole can't remember more than half his own kid's names at this point in his career. He's almost 77 years old.

As for Crosby, the guy IS having a hell of a series. He deserves to be mentioned as much as he is, given that he's the center of Pittsburgh's offense right now.

Yeah, I agree with rumple. It's a nice puck possession play, but it's not wholly responsible for the goal. It's a bit overhyped this morning. But he is have a great series. He carried them last night.

Ottawa played a damn good road game, both games, I thought. They sure look up to the challenge. Playing fast and really disciplined. They've really stopped the left wing breakout of the Pens while having a pretty good right wing breakout of their own.

I thought the quality of hockey in all the games last night was at a season high. Fucking fire wagon. Everyone not named Nabakov and Brysgalov had a great time.

The Premier League is doing its best to have things come down to the wire. First, Manchester United beat Manchester City 1-0, which moved United to within 1 point of Chelsea at the table's summit. Then, Tottenham beat Chelsea 2-1 to move two points ahead of City into the coveted fourth position and hold Chelsea on 77 points, one ahead of Man.U and six ahead of Arsenal, who have a game in hand.

The top five:
Chelsea - 77pts - played 35
Manchester United - 76pts - played 35
Arsenal - 71pts - played 34
Tottenham Hotspur - 64pts - played 34
Manchester City - 62pts - played 34

Tottenham play United midweek to attempt to finish a clean sweep of the top three in the course of eight days.

It is a shame we don't have versus. Otherwise I might have actually been able to see such hockey.

The hockey has been unbelievable. Memo to self: don't bother watching the regular season next year.

(as I write the refs are doing their best to get the Caps to 1-1 in their series)

As a Canadian, it's an embarrassment of riches this weekend. 3 games today (on two networks) and 5 games on Sunday (on two networks).

I love the first round of the NHL playoffs.

How Canadian am I?

I'm flipping back and forth between the Montreal/Washington hockey game, and the Braves/Rockies baseball game. Jimenez has a no-hitter through 7 innings, but the Caps are storming back. So I switch over to the hockey game and forget to check on the historical baseball game in progress!

I find out after the OT goal in Montreal that, oh hey, the guy DID get the no-hitter!

OT hockey in the playoffs always supersedes regular season baseball...no-no or no...

Err...OT goal AGAINST Montreal.

Luckily we get CBC so there are more options than normal. I just can't watch the Wings if they are on versus for about another three weeks.

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 11:25 PM on April 17, 2010

If I heard correctly, Versus is blacked out in favor of local broadcasts for the first 2 rounds, so you should be able to see any Wings games on FSD or NBC...
