I'm just going to let this one speak for itself. I'm lost for words.

Some context would be appreciated, JJ. Who is this person and why is she singing about getting it up the bum?

'Flash my gash'?

Some of the best Essex lyrics this side of Ian Dury.

3 posts early on to the huddle. Lunchtime in the UK and already Saturday (or thereabouts) Down Under. Hard for us sleepy Yanks to keep up.

What a talented gal on the clip. I always wondered what "FC" meant. Now I know.

She should devote an entire song to West Ham to improve her chances of getting backstage at an Iron Maiden show. Although they no doubt like her type back there already.

Missy, if you had wanted to do golf, you're about eight weeks too late. The therapy has already been paid for and the azaleas are beckoning.

Yeah, all about the sports here.

USSA president Bill Marolt arrested for DUI, in Park City, on St. Patrick's Day. I think this is cool because I think that Marolt is a tool.

How much alcohol do you have to have in your system to be on the wrong side of the law in Utah?

None.

This Ichiro kid might make it as a defender.

Although there's video of Ichiro's grab and it was a great catch, if it happens during spring training is it really that unbelievable? This catch was actually from a game that meant something.

I think Ichiro is due to have an MVP season this year even though he's already a HoF IMO. The Mariners should have a great year.

For the sake of my fantasy baseball roster.... PLEASE have a great year!! Pretty please with an F'N cherry on top!!

Yes. The ball doesn't know it's spring training. A tough catch is not easier to make in an exhibition game.

But we do.

Also there was no throw ala Willie Mays and not the World Series. But a great catch anyway.

The Buccaneers may be facing the first blackouts since Raymond James Stadium opened in 1998.

She's no one (as yet) and the song is lampooning the recent tabloid shame of various footballers in the UK (and to an equal extent lampooning the airheads that aided their behaviour). It's just the kind of thing that will probably take off in England, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear it being sung from the terraces in South Africa this summer.

Aesthetic relativism. Go nuts. Me, I think jumping in the air for a ball that's arriving over your shoulder and catching it is pretty kick-ass even if he had a beer in his other hand.

I'm with you, it was a great catch that takes skill, speed and focus. I'm just saying that it was done in a game that isn't going to mean anything once the regular season begins.

...it is pretty kick-ass even if he had a beer in his other hand.

You sure it wasn't a sake bomb? Now that would be impressive.

I don't get it.

Well, what happens is that the sake is balanced between two chopsticks over a glass of beer...

Tebow told Mike Florio that the Wonderlic prayer story is complete fucking bullshit (paraphrasing). Florio, true to form, claims that he believes Tebow is telling the truth but his source was telling the truth too. Hack!

NHLPA approves head-shot rule for rest of season: Bill Daly, deputy commissioner of the NHL, said the supplemental discipline portion of the rule will be in effect for Thursday's games. That calls for an automatic league review and possible suspension for any hit to the head from behind or the blindside.

Now if someone could please translate the words into good, old Amurrican.

England and the US, 2 peoples separated by a common language.

On the podium based on average temperature in the capital city! Oi! Oi! Oi!

Not much advantage, given Canberra is the coldest major city in Australia anyway.

I tried once in my softball league--missed the catch, spilled my beer, and generally looked like a tool. Ahhhh, middle age athletics.
