I believe the Colts are the home team in this year's title game, so they will likely be in their blue jerseys.

It would be great if the league let the Saints wear their seldom seen gold jerseys instead of the usual road whites. It'll never probably happen though.

My condolences go out to longtime Viking fans far from Minnesota who were rooting for the Vikes long before they had a team of their own. Lots of folks in the great Northwest learned to love the Vikes before they had the Seahawks to cheer for.

Some of those people still hold Tark and Foreman closer to their hearts than Hasselbeck and Alexander.

So does tennis have a limit on how long a server can take to serve the ball? Nadal takes forever to serve. I didn't get to watch much of his match with Murray because of that and the fireworks delay.

Nope. Not even a bit of it. You also get as many tosses as you want, although at that level, it's rare to need more than one.

Sometimes I think you people do it on purpose just to see what you can get me to say.

Not as common as you think.
No. 1 vs. No. 1, that is . . .

Roddick sure moves quick on his serve. I didn't get to see any of the Nadal-Murray match, but I did get reeled in to watchin' the whole can-Roddick-come-back-from-two-sets-down drama that, in the second set, the announcer said had been sucked from the match when it appeared he was injured.

Ah, sport.

From geekyguy's link:

Consider that the greatest Super Bowl the Giants' victory over the undefeated Patriots two years ago featured a No. 1 seed and a wild card.

No, the greatest Super Bowl was the Giants-Bills.

Agreed. Even as a suffering Bills fan, I know this one was a classic.

Thread about your question

But to answer your question. yes there is. It's just very rarely invoked. Djokovic takes an annoyingly long time between serves, too.

In the earlier Zheng Jie - Nadia Petrova women's QF on centre court, Zheng was getting very annoyed with how long Petrova took to serve. Channel 7 down here put the clock on her and she was going over 25-29 seconds each time. Zheng didn't formally raise it with the umpire but made her frustration known.

And Mary Pierce was the worst of the lot - with her it was pure gamesmanship.

In Mary Pierce's defense, she might have been using the time to scan the crowd for her dad.

Childress reports that he won't set a deadline on Favre to make a decision whether to come back or not.

Seems he learned his lesson from his last deadline

However, Jelena Dokic doesn't have that problem at present.

So, Nadal-Djokovic is not a match I want to see. They should calculate how much time the ball is in play during one of their matches. It is good to see that it is not only me bothered by the towel thing and the endless bouncing.

Djokovic is bouncing away as we speak. Allez Tsonga!

Djokovic is bouncing back to the lockerroom to throw up between games. Allez, Tsonga!

During a prior Venus match, one of the announcers was commenting that they should make a rule that once the ball is thrown up for serving, it is now in play and it's a fault to not hit the ball. Not really a solution, but after waiting way too long between serves and then having so many missed serves, I wouldn't have minded that rule. Slows down the game a lot.

Henin would be out of the tournament by now. I didn't catch her last match, but she was doing that constantly in prior matches. She was having a lot of trouble with her toss. A few players have been having difficulty on their toss because of the sun. I'd like to see them enforce a time limit. Truly, I can't understand why they wouldn't want do do so.
