Browns' Jerome Harrison Rushes for 286 Yards vs. Chiefs: Little-used Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Harrison ran for three touchdowns and 286 yards -- the third-highest single game total in NFL history -- against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday. He also broke the 48-year-old team record of 237 yards by Jim Brown, who was there to greet him afterward in the locker room. "When he got in space, there was no catching him," Brown said.
That was quite a fun game to watch. Some mention has to be accorded also to Josh Cribbs, who set and re-set the NFL record for career kickoff returns for TDs today with his 7th and 8th career returns. I was at Buffalo Wild Wings for my dad watching all of the early games, and this one was the best watch out of any of them. Well done, Mr. Harrison.

And props to Jim Brown for congratulating the guy who broke his record.

Who did what now?
Kidding. Wow, congratulations to both Harrison and Cribbs. As a Bengal fan, I hope this kid isn't really that good, or we've got our hands full for the foreseeable future!

The Browns have some definite talent with Cribbs and hopefully Harrison. Perhaps they can finally pull them out of the gutter. Cleveland will probably need to get a quarterback for that to happen though.

Help maybe on the way for Harrison and Cribbs. Browns owner Randy Lerner announced Monday that former NFL Head Coach Mike Holmgren will become the team's president.

Jerome might turn out to be a stud who needed a breakout game.
Or he might be a latter day Tim Smith (202 yds for Washington against the Broncos in the SB, then not much else).
Either way, it must be said: the overall tackling and pursuit in the KC - Cleveland game was some of the worst I've seen in awhile. Especially on special teams. They could have given the ball to Ralph Friedgen and he would have found some running room.
