Horse wins race. I had ten each way on it. Woo hoo, the drinks are on me.

Hey, just one per person, and no doubles. What do you think I am, made of money?

Nice work, owly, although the result was hardly shocking.

Wah wah wah wahhhhhhhhhhh.

owlhouse -- I am not familiar with the way odds are described on horses in Australia. What does it mean that a horse is at $10 (or some other amount)? Anyone else who knows can chime in as well.

Holden, it's the payout on a dollar bet. A horse at $10 pays $50 on a $5 bet.

Makes more sense to me than the way odds are shown here.

$6.7 Billion Lopped off Olympic Economic Benefits Projections And government's new number, $4 billion, is based on a seven-year-old 'best case' scenario that hasn't panned out.

We're going to be paying for this boondoggle for a long, long time. But go hockey team anyway, WTF.

Florida State Defensive Coordinator Mickey Andrews has announced his retirement.

That is most likely the beginning of the end.

The wheels on Coach Bowden's coal car should henceforth be viewed as officially greazed.

Looks like Kansas city fans need something to entertain themselves since the Chief are not getting it done. Larry Johnson just can win.

Rubin Kazan held Barcelona 0-0 in Kazan just now. If the two teams had been playing a two-legged playoff format, Rubin would've taken it via their win at the Camp Nou. I hope Rubin make the last 16 of the Champions League, they could do some serious damage and surprise a few people again. And all the other Champions League matches start right about now. Sweet.

Holden - what dviking said about how the odds are presented these days. It's kind of like the metric system. Much easier than when I used to work for a bookmaker, and had to calculate things like a bet of two dollars fifty each way, at odds of 13 to 8, just using my head!

I never get tired of All Blacks haka staredowns.

Here's another. Prince Fielder and the Brewers ought to do this after his next walk off homer.

Good on the Tongans for replying with the Siva Tau. They still got hammered, though.

Seems fitting that the most overhyped IRL driver will drive for the most overrated NASCAR driver
