Not a bad idea. The best LB since LT may be just what that creampuff team needs to get back to old fashioned smash-mouth football.

"The best LB since LT" ??
Romanowski ?
Clearly Al is not the only person in Raiderland who is a few fries short of a happy meal.

OK - just being a tiny bit facetious. However, Super Bowl rings did seem to follow him around.
Perhaps you will agree that he is the "dirtiest" LB since Sam Huff. See, I knew we could agree on something. Perhaps we can also agree that the Raiders could use a bit of Romanowski-like attitude.

Romanowski may be the only person crazy enough to coach for Davis.

A former player with no coaching experience, a history of disciplinary problems and an infamous temper is exactly what the Raiders need.

Raiders could use a little spit and Polish, no?

Romanowski? Isn't he still in jail? Cable's future cellmate?

As opposed to the success they have had with experienced, disciplined, mild tempered coaches of late?
Baseball once had a manager who had no prior coaching experience, had a history of disciplinary problems and an infamous temper. His name was Billy Martin. Twins, Tigers, Rangers and Yankees all improved significantly under him. The A's, not so much.

This is what happens when an Ohio football team drafts a college player from Michigan. As if the Browns don't have enough trouble in general and specifically with Braylon, his mouth, and his hands-of-stone. Friend of Lebron's or not, I wouldn't have expected such a harsh comment from him - makes me wonder if Edwards is an even bigger jackass than Browns fans even thought.

What does this have to do with Lebron anyway? He wasn't even there. I'm inclined to think Lebron is the ass. He came to a club in D.C. with Wizards player present and started talking shit about the Wizards. I know it's the Wizards, but still.

The key to the story, as in the article, is that the guy Braylon Edwards supposedly punched is a buddy of Lebron's. Lebron being in the story at all is the point of the post. His comments give the hint that there is more history between the two and makes this otherwise barely-a-news-story into something slightly bigger ... just surprised that one of the biggest stars on the planet goes out of his way to comment on someone from an entirely different sport who's star (whatever was there to begin with) is fading fast.

the guy is lebron's publicist and I guess has gotten more done for Lebron and has not really done the same for Braylon. I guess he has kinda blown Braylon off in the past as small time.

Am i the only one that saw Champ Bailey grab the Cowboy's receiver around the waist and pull with his right while his left was in front tipping the ball away? Obvious interference if you ask me. I know the Boy's should have already had it in the bag and did not deserve to win, but cheating by Champ? to win the game for Denver. I must say Denver is my least favorite team ever.

The Rams going from Georgia Frontiere to Limbaugh - what a five star transition that is.
It's Al Davis' idea. He's tired of being the most admired owner in the league. Time for some new blood.
Too bad Marge Schott and Father Coughlin aren't around to join in the fun.

Kind of like holding by the O-Line, that's very common. DBs & WRs grapple, push off, and hold often enough that pass interference on either team could be called every other down. It's a matter of whether the refs call it. So no, it's no cheating.

Glad you think so. I thought their offense stunk, and untimely penalties were once again a factor.
but cheating by Champ? to win the game for Denver.
3 of the last 4 Cowboys offensive plays featured Romo throwing to Sam Hurd who was covered by the best shutdown corner in the league, that being a Mr. Champ Bailey. If that's the best Garret and Romo can do in that situation, we're in for a long season, Cowboys fans.
Not to mention Romo looked like a scared colt the whole 2nd half.

That is what I said. When a violation of the rules costs a team the game, the officials need to be reprimanded. It was obvious. It was cheating. And Champ shut down little in that game. If he had not had his arm wrapped around Hurd, the pass would have been caught. Period.

Obviously, the officials and myself saw it differently. And to blame the lack of that call for the outcome of that game is closing your eyes to all the other weaknesses Denver exposed. It was a sloppy, ugly game, and the Broncos found a way to win, Dallas did not.

I must agree with you as far as Denver finding a way to win and the Boy's not. I am a suffering fan who has to look wherever I can to find solace. But really, am I the only one that thought that was interference?

As a life-long Lions fan I'd like to say: after you've been kicked in the balls enough, they just go numb. It's a different kind of suffering.

Speaking of Champ, yesterday i heard Phil Simms say he is one of the best corners he has ever seen in his life on tape. In his opinion, if he isn't in the hall of fame, then people are crazy.

Al Davis may be the formaldehyde poster boy, but he is not entirely clueless.
Doing nothing and waiting until the authorities come and haul Tom Cable away in chains is much easier than having to reassign or terminate him.
If they arrest Cable during a home game and try to bring him out through the Black Hole, they'll lose him in the crowd, sure as hell.
Once Cable is in the slammer, Davis can bring in his dream coach. The guy who perhaps most closely shares Al's belief that a little depravity goes a long way.
Romanowski.
