Yes, this IS the official start of the Semi-Official SportsFilter MLB Post-Season Pick 'Em. These are real live points which are associated with your real live user profile and have real live worth until such time as they are transported off this site.

THE GAME

Detroit (Porcello, 14-9) @ Minnesota (Baker, 15-9)

Game is Tuesday the 6th. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 CDT.

THE PICK

Pick the winner and the margin by which they will win.

THE BONUS PICK

Pick the player who will knock in the game-winning RBI.

THE RULE(S)

Each pick is worth one big ol' point, which will be carried over to the rest of the post-season pick 'em. Yes, I know this game is technically a part of the regular season. If you have a problem with that, then I invite you to host a daily MLB pick 'em for the entire 2010 season, at which time I will cheerfully cede any one-game playoffs to you.

Anyone who has the initiative to perform an ounce of research is welcome to prove me wrong, but I believe this game counts as the 163rd of the regular season.

DJE is correct on how these stats count.

Tigers by 2. Carlos Guillen.

Detroit by 3. Granderson comes through early in the game, with the Tigers leading throughout, but holding off a late Twins's charge.

Dr. John, it is indeed the 163rd game of the regular season, and all statistics count as regular season statistics.
