Broncos Hire Josh McDaniels as Head Coach: Josh McDaniels, the 32-year-old offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots, has been hired by the Denver Broncos as head coach, replacing Mike Shanahan. He becomes the third-youngest coach in NFL history. "He looks like a college student," writes Woody Paige.

See, that is funny because Woody Paige looks like Methuselah.

Supposedly he's bringing Dom Capers along as D Coordinator. And then the Pats have to play the Broncos next year. Hopefully it takes longer than that to rebuild the defense.

He'd be the first Bellichek prodigy to produce much if he does succeed. He's young, he'll have some great offensive weapons and they'll likely draft him a back to toss out there 20-25 touches a game.

Best of luck to him.

First order of business: Sign a bunch of second-rate running backs. Oh, wait.....that was Shanahan.

You really like that (mis)spelling, don't you?

If he doesn't produce much, people are definitely going to start speculating about a Hoodie Curse.

I'm not too sure about McDaniels bringing Capers aboard as his defensive coordinator. One report has Denver looking at Mike Nolan (ex-49ers HC) for the job. Despite his youth, McDaniels has a pretty good variety of experience with the Patriots, having worked with the coaching staff on both sides of the ball. I wish him well.
