Raiders Coach Lane Kiffin has been told he'll be fired: Fresh off Sunday's loss to Buffalo in which the Raiders blew a 23-14 fourth-quarter lead, team officials have reportedly told Coach Lane Kiffin he will be fired as early as today, according to published media reports.

Who would want this head coaching job? Davis has made it perfectly clear that he will prevent the head coach from doing his job. Then, he will make things impossible to try to force a resignation. This is way past a farce at this point.

And to make matters even worse, ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Al Davis not only fired Lane Kiffin but he did so over the phone and he also informed Kiffin that he is not going to honor the contract.

After all that's been said & done on Davis' part, he is showing his true colors and is an even bigger moron than what I originally thought.

I think that was last week's headline. They played the Chargers this week, and blew a 4th quarter lead there, too.

I think Jeff Passan is right that Lane Kiffin would be a fine choice for head coach at Syracuse.

And in other news, Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.

I heard Davis had a friend pass Kiffin a note informing him of the firing during biology class.

I heard that Lane is getting a "D" in biology because they are studying animals' sex thingies.

It makes him giggle.

And Al Davis is a big fat dork. He sucks eggs.

Judging by the interview he did on ESPN tonight, he actually looked like he was sucking eggs. Gosh it's good to have you back THX.

My god, Al Davis should never, EVER be allowed to speak in public again. What a freakin' senile buffoon. And would someone please wheel his ass into a barbershop?

I refuse to comment on Al Davis. He is not worthy of comment.

Not that their record really shows it, but the Raiders were actually showing some signs of turning it around a bit this year. Sure, they blew 4th quarter leads in two consecutive weeks, but those losses were to a team that's currently 4-0 and a team that's a consensus pick to go to the Super Bowl. Heck, they *owned* the Chargers for most of the game, and the Chargers only were able to pull it out because of the turnovers towards the end, and possibly because they shifted their offense into a "wear them down" mode. Given the performance of the Raiders over the last couple years, this year could easily be seen as an improvement -- they weren't complete pushovers this time around. Obviously, they need to be able to "finish", but just being in a position where they had something to finish in the first place is miles ahead of where they were. Even as a Charger fan, with Raider-hatred mixed into the local water supply here, I wish Al Davis would just go away so Oakland could actually have a football team.

This just in:

Al Davis, cash and two high draft choices to Detroit for the residual rights to Millen.

Raider fans defend Davis the way Apple users defend Steve Jobs. How many more coaches (and losses) until the blinders come off?

I'm no Raiders fan by any stretch but lay off Apple cuz I love my iPhone. Third best purchase I made in 2007 since my Xbox 360 and also my AKAI MPC 1000.

Who's Steve Jobs?
