Jacksonville Jaguars OT in critical condition after early-morning shooting: Richard Collier was shot outside an apartment building early Tuesday as he and a former Jacksonville teammate waited for two women they had met at a nightclub, authorities said.
The women, who appeared to be in their 20s, declined comment when they were escorted by police back to the complex midmorning Tuesday. One was wearing a short, silver dress and the other was wearing a short, black one.
I've read 3 or 4 different articles on this and they all mentioned what the women were wearing. One referred to the girls dressed in "club" attire, and this one makes sure to point out that color of the dresses and that they were both "short".
I'm just wondering what the relevance of that is on the topic such that everyone in the media is inclined to mention it?

Because obviously going to a club with a provocatively dressed woman means you were looking to get shot.
Good for Coach Del Rio to try to move the media focus to finding the shooter instead of making insinuations about the player.
I hope Collier makes a complete recovery and is able to resume his professional career.

Man, I wish him all the luck in the world in his recovery. For a young man to weather so much adversity in his life and persevere to the point of success, only to have it taken away in such a senseless fashion is really damn sad.
